The Pantry received the annual donation of meat (italian sausage, pork sausage & pork chops) from Midwest Energy & Communications (MEC) today. This is a tremendous help in offering our guests a balanced inventory to choose from and is a real treat! They also dropped off another giant box of tote bags. Thanks so much to Lori Ruff and MEC for this wonderful donation!

Red Arrow Ministries makes its annual voyage from Family Fare to Eleanor's Pantry following its food drive held at Family Fare the second weekend in August each year. Thanks to Red Arrow Ministries, Family Fare and its customers for providing a large trailer full of nonperishables and personal need items. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this donation, and we are equally thankful for your time, efforts, and sincere desire to make a difference...and that you do!

Emily Victorson and Phyllis Peterson of the Van Buren County Democratic Party delivered cans of hearty soup and canned pasta to the pantry this week. Sue Miller, Executive Director of Eleanor’s Pantry, thanked the Dems for providing much needed protein for those who are hungry.

We are blessed through this donation drive hosted by RED ARROW MINISTRIES each year. Stop by the tent in front of FAMILY FARE Friday from 5 - 8 pm and Saturday from 8 am - 3 pm for the pantry’s Wish List. Thank you, Red Arrow Ministries and to Family Fare and its shoppers for your support!

Members and leaders from Senior Level Girl Scout Troop 90647 visited Eleanor’s Pantry recently and donated 10 cases of their new Explormore cookies to the pantry. Thanks, girls! Sue Miller, pantry director, said, “The Girl Scout cookies are always a real treat for the pantry’s customers.”

Izabella and Stefani from Welch’s stopped by with over 300 Kids’ Snack Bags to be distributed to kids visiting the pantry over Summer break. These bags are filled with snack items donated and assembled by Welch’s awesome staff and bring smiles to the families receiving them. THANK YOU!!!

The Friends That Care About Social Justice from Kalamazoo brought cookies and handwritten thank you notes this week for the volunteers at the pantry. The “book club” recognizes and thanks volunteers in the area. Thank you, Sharon Sauter and Stephanie Collins, for your thoughtful efforts!

PAW PAW SERVICE LEAGUE presented Eleanor's Pantry with a check for $5,000 last month. Its generous gifts each year make a significant impact on the pantry's ability to replenish our inventory as we enter the busy Summer months. The league is very active in serving the Paw Paw community, and we're so thankful for your gift.
