5-22-26: At approximately 23:50 PSGVFD was dispatched to a reported working structure fire on State Route 86, the old diner in Gabriel’s. Units arrived on scene to find smoke and fire showing at the end of the building. All occupants were out of the house, and no one was injured. Water supply was established at Camp Gabriels to fill tankers. The fire was under control and overhaul began at 01:01. We used about 10,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. All PSG units were clear of the scene at 02:19, and in service at 03:00.

We would like to thank all of our members and our mutual aid departments; Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department Inc., Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad, Franklin County Deputy Coordinator’s, and Franklin County Cause and Origin Team.

5-8-26: At 13:53 PSGVFD was dispatched to a fire alarm activation at Paul Smiths College, Overlook hall. Members investigated the cause of the alarm and deemed it to be an alarm malfunction. We responded with E-183, and 4 members. All PSG units were back in service at 14:34.

5-12-26: At 15:46 PSGVFD was requested mutual from Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department Inc. to respond a tanker and manpower to the scene of a grass fire, on the Kushaqua Mud Pond Road. We responded with ETA-186, MISC-387, and 9 members. All PSG units were back in service at 17:00.

5-12-26: At 22:18 PSGVFD was dispatched automatic mutual aid from Saint Regis Falls Volunteer Fire Department to respond to the scene of a working structure fire, on the Blue Mountain Road. While enroute we were down graded to respond to their firehouse for standby. We responded with E-183, ETA-186, HEAVY RESCUE-189, and 12 members. All PSG units were back in service at 23:55.

5-13-26: At 17:28 PSGVFD was dispatched automatic mutual aid to Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department Inc. for a reported structure fire on the Cold Brook Road. We responded with E-181, ETA-186, and 14 members. All PSG units were back in service at 20:00.

PSGVFD has responded to a total of 94 call so far in the 2026 Year!

Good afternoon,

We would like to thank everyone who came down and supported us for our pancake breakfast today. It was a great turnout! It would not be possible without all of you.
