Translating carrier design theory into tactical ex*****on alongside our global partners.

In a joint effort to advance fleet interoperability, , Naval Sea Systems Command, and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) recently led a high-impact, two-week training evolution with the Indian Navy. The mission: master advanced aircraft carrier design to ensure sustained readiness and integrated sea control.

The intensive curriculum locked in on critical operational capabilities, including flight deck layout, integrated topside design, and launch and recovery systems. By aligning our engineering and operational standards, we strengthen our combined maritime edge and ensure our allied forces are ready for the high-end fight

Superior capabilities demand superior talent. and St. Mary's College of Maryland are accelerating the STEM pipeline to guarantee the warfighter’s tactical advantage.

We're already operationalizing our renewed Education Partnership Agreement to funnel critical expertise in data science, cyber warfare, and autonomous systems directly into the fleet. With nearly 150 alumni already deployed across NAS Pax River, we're turning classroom theory into direct warfighting capability.

Overmatch doesn't just happen on the flight line. It starts in training.

Today, we're celebrating the birthday of our teammates at .

While engineers and tests the platforms that dominate the battlespace, NAWCTSD builds the cutting-edge training systems that prepare the fleet to wield them. From portable VR to full-motion simulators, they ensure every operator has the reps and sets they need before they ever step into the fight.

Advanced hardware is only as good as the warfighter behind the controls. Here’s to another year of forging the tactical edge from the ground up. Happy Birthday, NAWCTSD!

is strengthening U.S. Marine Corps expeditionary airpower by sustaining and advancing the AN/TPN‑31 ATNAVICS system – the Corps’ deployable air traffic control capability for austere environments. When Marines need to establish an airfield fast, in any terrain or weather, ATNAVICS delivers the precision approach, surveillance, and control required to keep aircraft moving and missions on time, anywhere, whatever the weather.

The MQ-25A Stingray’s historic first flight is complete, accelerating the reach of the future carrier air wing. This tactical milestone — expanding 's range and reducing pilot risk — was forged by our test team's relentless grind through late nights and long weekends.

to our Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Three - VX-23 and UX-24 Ghost Wolves for this milestone achievement.

“The successful first flight officially initiates the rigorous flight test program, which will focus on expanding the aircraft's performance envelope and verifying all mission systems,” said Capt. Daniel Fucito, Unmanned Carrier Aviation program manager (PMA-268).

The MQ-25A integrated test team will continue ground control station integration, expanding the flight envelope, and verifying performance parameters prior to its ferry flight to Pax River later this year.

Virtual capability, operational impact: Our at The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division developed VISIT 3D, a new trainer now cleared to advance submarine force readiness.

The trainer delivers a fully immersive, high‑fidelity virtual ship environment that strengthens Sailor proficiency before they ever step aboard a real sub.

The system recently went operational in naval schoolhouses to equip Sailors with mission‑relevant tools: technical manuals, system presentations, embedded audio/video, and detailed schematics that replicate the look and feel of operational submarines and other naval platforms.
