We are excited to announce that the Patterson Heights Fire Department has been awarded $10,811.00 through the Norfolk Southern Safety First Grant Program!

The funding will be used for our Fire Hose Replacement Project, helping us replace aging hose and ensure our firefighters have reliable equipment when responding to emergencies in our community.

As a 100% volunteer fire department, grants like this are incredibly important to us. They allow us to continue upgrading our equipment while being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

We would like to sincerely thank Norfolk Southern for supporting volunteer fire departments and recognizing the importance of providing firefighters with the tools they need to safely protect their communities.

Every dollar invested in our department is an investment in the safety of Patterson Heights and the surrounding communities we serve. 🚂🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Hailey Lytle and Firefighter Gavin Thunberg on successfully graduating from the 2026 Beaver County Fire Academy Entry Level Firefighter Academy!

Both Hailey and Gavin put in countless hours of training, including classroom instruction, hands-on skills, and live fire training, to earn this accomplishment. Their dedication and commitment to becoming better firefighters is something we are extremely proud of.

We are also proud to announce that both Hailey and Gavin have successfully achieved their ProBoard Firefighter I certification! This is a significant milestone in their firefighting careers and represents the hard work they have put in since joining the department.

Congratulations, Hailey and Gavin! We are proud to have you as members of Patterson Heights Fire Department and look forward to watching you continue to grow as firefighters.

On this day, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Twenty five years later, we continue to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call that day. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, and countless civilians whose lives were forever changed.

We also remember those who survived but continue to pay the price for their service. For many first responders, the sacrifice did not end that day. They continue to battle 9/11 related illnesses from their heroic service at Ground Zero and other sites.

Their courage and selflessness remain a powerful reminder of what it means to answer the call. They ran toward danger when others were running away, never knowing the full extent of the sacrifice that would follow.

As first responders, we carry their memory with us. We honor those we lost, stand with those who continue to fight, and remain forever grateful for every man and woman who has answered the call to serve.

Twenty five years later, we remember.

We honor.

We will never forget.
