Forensic Nurse Examiner-Passaic County Sexual Assault Response Team (Independent Contractor-Per Diem)

Under the Direction of the Chief Assistant Prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit, and supervised by the Passaic County Coordinator of Nurse Examiners, work within an on-call schedule to provide sensitive services to victims including physical and forensic exams, coordinate on site with hospital staff, law enforcement, and sexual assault victim advocates, and ensure the accurate collection of forensic evidence. Administrative duties will include participating in regularly scheduled staff meetings, maintaining the proper credentials and insurance, submitting reports and time sheets, participating in quarterly SART Advisory Board Meetings, and assisting with trial prep and testify in court when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

-Possess a valid Driver’s License in New Jersey
-Must be a New Jersey resident
-Must be a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing recognized by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
-Must have a valid license to practice Nursing in New Jersey
-Within 12 months of the date of provisional appointment, must complete the SANE training program and obtain a Forensic Nurse-Certified Sexual Assault (FN-CSA) specialty certificate issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Prosecutor’s Agent-Assistant Coordinator of Nurse Examiners (Victims of Sexual Assault Program) (Full Time)

Under the Direction of the Chief Assistant Prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit, assist the Passaic County Coordinator of Nurse Examiners in administering the Sexual Assault Response Team, including providing sensitive services to victims, ensuring the accurate collection of forensic evidence, monitoring and supervising the work of independent contractor nurse examiners, and working in an on-call capacity to perform forensic exams when needed. Administrative duties will include participating in regularly scheduled staff meetings, participating in quarterly SART Advisory Board Meetings, tracking data and statistics regarding the SART program, preparing statistical reports for required Attorney General and Grant reporting, and assist with trial prep and testify in court when necessary.
