Meet our 2026 Summer Intern, Alyssa.. everyone say hi! 👋💙 Alyssa recently completed her freshman year at Pratt Institute, where she is pursuing a BFA in Painting with a minor in Museum & Gallery Practices. As a visual artist, her work explores themes of s*x, violence, mortality, and provocation.

This summer, Alyssa is especially excited to learn more about the curatorial side of PAC and gain behind the scenes experience in how exhibitions come together from concept to installation. In her spare time you’ll likely find Alyssa at a hardcore show or listening to slam and brutal death metal.

🤘Rock on, Alysaa we’re so glad to have you! This summer, PAC is fortunate to spend time with three incredible interns, and we can’t wait to introduce each one.

Goodbye Mermaid and hello something new (and blue)! 💙 This week we said farewell to our beloved mermaid mural by Lindsay Lange as we prepare for the next chapter of our annual mural project with the Patchogue-Medford Library. A huge congratulations to Rafael Algarín, whose design was selected for this year’s mural! We can’t wait to watch Rafael bring his vision to life and share the finished work with the community.

Thank you to our interns Alyssa, Claire, and Paige for assisting in the painting! 🫶
