February 7th is dedicated to raising awareness about the disproportionate impact of HIV
on Black and African American communities in the United States.

Black communities continue to face a disproportionate impact of HIV due to longstanding healthcare inequities. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day emphasizes the importance of awareness, early detection, and community-based care as critical tools for improving health outcomes.

For 10 years, Flux has been showing the world what trans-led advocacy looks like in action.

As the only coordinated global trans-led organization, continues to raise the profile of transgender and non-binary communities.

From surveying trans communities around the world and publishing their wellness needs, to holding healthcare systems accountable, Flux has made sure their voices are seen and heard. They created the nation’s first free community workspace for trans-led organizations at the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center, giving groups room to grow and expand their impact. They have partnered with major networks and creative platforms like Discovery, Fox, Paramount, LatiNation TV, and DC Comics to push for authentic trans representation in media. And they have invested in leadership and workforce development to build power from within the community.

At a time when trans communities are facing renewed attacks, this work matters now more than ever. Your voice matters. Your leadership matters. Your existence matters. This is what being built to inspire looks like. And this is why Flux inspires AHF every day.

Happy 10th anniversary to a group that continues to lead with purpose, courage, and love. 💙💗🤍
