In remembrance of 9/11, Physical Education classes at Patchogue-Medford schools participated in a workout challenge to never forget the sacrifices made that day.

Phys. Ed. Teacher Trish Shea created the program at Oregon Middle School to honor heroes, with other schools including Medford Elementary participating to teach students the importance of remembering 9/11.

Oregon Middle School held a September 11 Hero’s Walk throughout lunch periods today to honor those who tragically lost their lives 25 years ago.

Led by Principal Bryan Lake, students researched heroes, learned about their lives, and honored them by creating individual posters that they carried around the track during the walk.

Congratulations to these two Pat-Med Boys Varsity Soccer athletes, Jeremy Galvez and Jonathan Velasquez, on being named to Newsday’s Top 100 Boys Soccer Players for 2026!

Galvez and Velasquez are both seniors making a big impact in their final seasons as Raiders.

These two students will receive valuable experience as members of the Patchogue Medford School District Board of Education, while having their voices heard representing their classmates and peers.

Patchogue-Medford High School is excited to begin use of the new additions to our athletic fields for the 2026-27 school year.

Additions include a new turf field with lights and stands, along with brand-new bleachers, a press box and digital videoboard for the main field.
