Licking County Flood Recovery Update

Licking County EMA, along with several of our community partners, will be hosting a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) this Thursday to assist residents impacted by the recent flooding.

⏰ 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

All Licking County residents who were affected by the flooding are encouraged to stop by if you need assistance or would like to learn what resources may be available. Multiple agencies will be together in one location to help connect residents with recovery resources and support.

This will be our first MARC following the flooding. We will evaluate the community's needs and schedule additional opportunities if necessary.

We are also planning a second MARC next week in the Hebron/Buckeye Lake area to better serve residents in that area, including Heath residents who may need assistance.

Please help us spread the word and share this information with anyone who was impacted. Our goal is simple: make it as easy as possible for our residents to get connected with the help they need.

There is a flash flood warning in effect until 7:45am. Please do not risk driving through high water. Our street department is also out and putting up signage and cones. Please be careful and leave early if you need to take an alternate route this morning.

We’ve partnered with The Dairy Hut to start issuing “tickets” to juveniles on bicycles. Don’t worry, it’s for juveniles practicing bicycle safety and wearing their helmet while riding their bicycles! If spotted and ticketed by one of our officers, you’ll receive a “ticket” for one free small vanilla, chocolate, or twist cone!

While out on patrol, K-9 Raider observed the below juvenile riding safely with his family and also wearing his helmet! K-9 Raider issued this juvenile a “ticket”!

This little one was located off of Adams Lane near Volunteer Park. If you are the owner or know who this pupper belongs to, they’re being held at our station for further questioning and will need a ride home! Please contact our non-emergency number at 740-927-5701 if you have any information to help return this one home!

Early this morning, July 7th, 2026, numerous vehicles had their windows busted and were rummaged through. This occurred mostly in the areas of Barrington Ridge and Legacy Lane. Update 7-4-2026: The dog has been returned to its owner! Thank you!

Clearly someone is having a blast on July 4th! This one has apparently escaped his owners and was located in the area of John Reese Parkway. If you know the owners or know where he belongs, please contact our non-emergency number at 740-927-5701!
