Rebecca Kelly from Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks visits the library to talk about the Hopewell Culture, their ceremonial earthworks, and Ohio's only UNESCO World Heritage site.
Step back in time and discover what daily life may have looked like during the Hopewell culture period!

Participants will explore the tools people used, learn why flint was such an important resource, and discover how American Indian communities used natural materials in their everyday lives. Through hands-on activities and artifacts, learners will gain a better understanding of how people lived, worked, and thrived thousands of years ago.

This Summer Reading Program event is designed for kids going into grades K-5 and their families., Event will be held in the Community Room. No registration required.

Thank you to Dr. Shelton, Ohio Optometric Association, and The Realeyes Program for providing us with such a wonderful lesson! 👀
