Our voyage starts next week when we'll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once you receive your Treasure Map next week, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an Apple iPad! We are so proud of our staff and our school as we were announced as a winner of a 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award. This award is equivalent to a California Distinguished School award for the 2020-2021 school year. Our teachers and staff continue to put kids first, always!!

Congratulations Virginia Peterson Elementary for being awarded a 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award Program.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Winners of the newly created 2022 California Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Award Program announced today by State Superintendent Tony Thurmond!

These schools and districts implemented an innovative practice during the 2020–21 school year, when California required schools to offer distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CAPP award program is being utilized by California in 2022 in place of the California Distinguished Schools Program.

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful garden and an AMAZING garden educator, Miss Evie. Our Pandas enjoy spending time working in the garden to help make it a wonderful outdoor learning space!

Hello Virginia Peterson Kindergarten families! We are pleased to announce that we are providing a Kinder Camp for our incoming kindergarten students from August 3rd - 5th from 8:00-11:30 each day. This will be a fun-filled three days for your child and an opportunity for them to learn about their new school and our kindergarten program. Lunch will be sent home each day. Currently, the mask mandates are still in effect, and students and staff will be wearing masks. If you would like your incoming kindergarten child to participate please fill out the survey below. We look forward to meeting our new Pandas!
