The City of Paso Robles has announced the appointment of Leslie Frazier as the City’s new Public Works Director, effective July 5, 2026, following a nationwide recruitment process.

"Leslie has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach during her time with the City,” said Chris Huot, City Manager. “Her experience and vision make her exceptionally well-suited to lead the Public Works Department as the City advances several important infrastructure and organizational initiatives."

🚧 The City of Paso Robles Public Works Department is beginning pedestrian improvements on Riverside Avenue from 17th to 24th Street. Improvements include upgraded curb ramps, new sidewalks, and future roadway resurfacing to improve safety and accessibility for residents and visitors.

Work by Cen-Cal Construction begins the week of June 1 and will pause July 10 for the California Mid-State Fair before resuming the week of August 3. Sidewalk and curb ramp work will be completed before the fair to support safe pedestrian access to the fairgrounds.

This project is funded primarily through a Community Development Block Grant, along with voter-approved supplemental sales tax revenue (Measures J-20/I-24).

The City of Paso Robles, in partnership with , is excited to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with a free community 4th of July celebration at Barney Schwartz Park and is seeking volunteers to help make the event unforgettable. 👀

Approximately 25 volunteers are needed to support City staff in executing the event. Volunteer shifts are two hours each, with positions including lake monitor, parking attendant, and access control monitor. As a token of appreciation, all volunteers will receive a commemorative event T-shirt, premium parking for the event, and a meal voucher.

The City of Paso Robles Community Services Department is seeking a service-oriented part-time RECREATION SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE to join our team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our recreation facilities and programs while providing excellent customer service to participants and visitors. From supporting activities and assisting patrons to helping maintain safe, organized, and welcoming spaces, you will play an important role in creating positive experiences for community members of all ages. If this sounds like a role you would enjoy, we encourage you to apply!

Afternoon and evening availability is required with occasional Saturday shifts to support events as needed. This part-time position is generally scheduled for 16 to 18 hours per week.
