Clear River Electric and Water District Clear River Electric & Water District The Clear River Electric & Water District was incorporated by a special act of the Rhode Island General Assembly.

On January 1, 2025 Pascoag Utility District merged with Harrisville Fire District's Water Department creating Clear River Electric & Water District (CREW). A quasi-municipal utility, CREW provides Electricity and Water on a "not for profit" basis. Clear River Electric is regulated by the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission. Currently we provide Electric service to approximately 5,000 customers in Pascoag and Harrisville RI and 2,200 Water customers in Pascoag, Harrisville & Oakland-Mapleville.

We know some of our customers just experienced a brief outage and we apologize for the inconvenience. A section of Pascoag (north of Grove Street) will experience an outage (Estimated time of restoration 1 hour) as crews need to safely make an emergency repair on Howard Ave. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have this resolved quickly.

Happy to announce that CREW's General Manager, William Guertin was awarded the Charles H. Goss Good Neighbor Award at the Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund this morning! The Charles H. Goss Good Neighbor Award was established in 1995 to recognize a person, group or organization that has exhibited the outstanding leadership and giving spirit for which the late Mr. Goss was known during the years of his association with the Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund.

✅ Air Conditioner – $40
✅ Air Purifier – $40 (must be on the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient list)
✅ Dehumidifier – $30 (must be on the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient list)

To qualify, simply fill out an appliance rebate application and submit:
✔️ A copy of your purchase receipt
✔️ Proof that your appliance is ENERGY STAR® certified (or ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient for qualifying air purifiers and dehumidifiers)
