Community Action Connections - CAC

Community Action Connections - CAC Community Action Connections provides social services in Benton and Franklin Counties Washington, with offices in Pasco and Prosser.

Community Action Connections (CAC) was organized and approved as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation in 1966, serving Benton and Franklin Counties. Our goal to provide pathways out of poverty is achieved through programs we currently have available and the continuous development of innovative projects and programs for the future. It all begins with a common vision. Behind our agency’s effort to imp

rove the quality of life is a vision for the future of what could be. The vision is, and must continue to be, pursued by this agency with energy, patience, tenacity and determination. It is one thing to have a vision, but the most difficult thing of all is to fulfill it. Our workforce is clearly customer-driven. Our employees have strong work ethics and truly care about the families they serve. All employees who represent our agency share the same objective; to gain maximum knowledge to better enable them to provide optimum services to the individuals we serve. Each employee strives to improve the lives of those families they serve through the basic ingredients of support, dedication, honesty and sincerity.

Yesterday was such a meaningful day. Some of our staff and participants had the opportunity to volunteer at Second Harvest and give back to the community in a beautiful way.

Together, we helped get 620 meals ready and supported 930 pounds of food going out to families in need. Being part of that work reminds us that hope can show up in simple acts of service.

It is more than just food it is care, dignity, and community coming together.

We are so proud of our participants for showing up, serving others, and being part of something bigger. Moments like this remind us that when we give back, we all grow together. 💚

Thank you, Second Harvest, for the amazing work you do and for allowing us to be part of it.

We love seeing our community come together to support local growers, small businesses, and families. Farmers markets are a great way to enjoy fresh food, connect with neighbors, and celebrate all the good things happening right here in Benton and Franklin Counties.

There are so many wonderful markets to check out throughout the week, including Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Prosser, Burbank, and more.

Be sure to check each market’s page before heading out for any updates or changes.

What is your favorite thing to pick up at the farmers market? 💛

A huge thank you to Soroptimist International of Three Rivers (SI3R)for their generous diaper donation and for showing up for families in our community. 💛

Diapers are such a basic need, but for many parents, they can be a real financial burden. This kind of support helps bring relief, dignity, and care to local moms, babies, and families who are working hard every day.

We are so grateful for community partners who continue to step in with love and action helping families one baby bottom at a time. 🧡

Thank you, SI3R, for investing in dreams and supporting families across our community!

💙

It’s a fact: Community Action programs make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families every day.

From helping individual's stay connected and supported, to assisting families with basic needs, housing stability, energy assistance, and other vital services Community Action is about meeting people where they are and helping them move forward.

Here at Community Action Connections, we are proud to share that last year, CAC helped 10,376 individuals right here in our community.

That number represents neighbors, families, seniors, children, and individuals who were connected to support, resources, and hope.

Because when our neighbors are supported, our whole community becomes stronger. 💙
