So many lives were lost as a result of that tragic event. If you were five or older, you probably remember where you were and what you were doing. Today we remember the mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, sisters, brothers, coworkers, friends, children, and especially the first responders. Many people gave everything to make sure others lived that day. We mourn and remember those lost. We thank those who gave of themselves so other could live.

Sometimes looking at life as one big pile of days can be exhausting. I mean 365x10 years is over 3,500 days! Geesh! Today feels bad but tomorrow gives you that chance to have a better day than today. Let's just get through today. Just today. Tomorrow may look very different.

First Responders Roundtable has begun meeting to share: information, resources, educational opportunities, and ideas.

First responders have learned of CIT training and other opportunities as well as community resources such as free naloxone supplies and training.

This roundtable can help support our first responders, alleviate stress, enhance resources and training (especially for crisis or mental health calls). What does that mean for you? A more informed and equipped first responder network ready to serve you at a moments notice.

We hope this network continues to grow and we see more partners at the table. If you're a first responder and would like to be at the next meeting, please message us and we will make sure you are on the invite list!🫶🏽💙

We (HAPS) and our partner agency South Mississippi Mental Health Center will both be closed for . We will both reopen on Tuesday, September 7, 2026. Remember, if you drink then . That means, if you drink have a designated non-drinking driver or use Uber, Lyft, a cab, call someone to come get you or stay put until you are sober. We want to see you for many more weekends to come!
