Jackson County Youth Court We handle cases of delinquent children as well as abused and neglected children. We also have a CASA, Drug Court, and Parent Representation Program

PSA: Please be aware that senior pranks can and may result in criminal charges being filed at the youth court. Please be advised that if anyone participates in a senior prank that involves breaking the law, some one can press charges at the youth court and you may have to appear before the Judge. Please be mindful t keep pranks harmless and legal.

🦃 Thanksgiving Holiday 2025

Jackson County Government offices will be closed:
• Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Friday, November 28, 2025

Offices will reopen on Monday, December 1, 2025.

🎄 Christmas Holiday 2025

Please note that some Jackson County offices may be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, while others will remain open. Because operational needs vary by department, we encourage residents to call the specific county office directly to confirm its Christmas Eve schedule.

All pregnant moms and moms with babies 0-1 come out to the 2025 Jackson County Community Baby Shower. Get some great information, win some prizes, play some games, and do a little line dancing. Free to all; doors open at 9:30, we begin at 10:00 am. Don't be late or you may miss something good. Hosted by the Jackson County Coalition for Children and Families and the MS State Department of Health.

Due to hazardous road conditions the Jackson County Youth Court will remain closed until 8 am Friday, January 24th.

The Jackson County Youth Court will be closed Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd. We will back open at 8 am Thursday 23rd. Stay safe and warm.

Updated: The Jackson County Youth Court will be closed Monday for MLK holiday. Due to the impending inclement weather, we will open back up on Tuesday the 21st at 8 am but we will be closing at 11 am on Tuesday and we will remain closed until Thursday 23rd at 8 am. All court is canceled for Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd. Everyone stay safe and stay warm.

On November 30th the Youth Court held its annual Halloween Trick or Treat event for our kids in foster care. The staff did an amazing job with their themes this year. We would like to thank the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Gautier Police Department, Jackson-George Regional Library System, and Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs for coming out and setting up a table with us. We would also like to thank our wonderful staff, Division of Youth Service Counselors, and CASA of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. for setting up all the themed rooms. The kids had a great time and really enjoyed everything. It is important to us to do fun things for the kids that we serve so that they will not see the court as a scary place. We can't wait for our Christmas event coming up next.
