Singing River Genealogy and Local History Library We provide genealogy and local history resources for Jackson-George Regional Library System. We're located inside the Pascagoula branch on the second floor.

The building was built in 1932 as the first brick school for African Americans in the state of MS. Additions to the building, 2 classrooms, 1 cafeteria, and 2 restrooms, were added in 1947, before it was burned down soon after.
