With the recent hurricane deployments behind us, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the XPO, Chief Jordan Delk. Amidst the challenges, he successfully passed his Officer in Charge review board and is now certified to lead his own unit.

Achieving this certification is a significant personal milestone. The review board evaluates not only your knowledge but also your leadership skills and your commitment to supporting your crew and their families. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and I encourage everyone to join me in congratulating Chief Jordan Delk!

Station Pascagoula had an incredibly hectic week as the crew underwent training on a thier new platform the Special Purpose Craft designed for shallow water operations. This new vessel enables them to navigate in waters as shallow as 15 inches. Additionally, Station Pascagoula has taken on a new role as a flood response unit, ensuring the crew is prepared to rescue lives during natural disasters like floods and hurricanes.

Two shipmates, BM2 Loftis and ME2 McDonnel, have left the unit. Additionally, ME3 McDonnel has been promoted to ME2. We extend our best wishes to both of them for continued success at thier next assignment in the Coast Guard.

This week, the Coast Guard said fairwell to a fellow shipmate who dedicated over 20 years of service. It is truly impressive to serve for such a long time and then retire. The sacrifices made by both the member and their family are significant. It is difficult to express the gratitude we feel for your commitment and loyalty to our service and country. Let us all congratulate BM1 Bradley Ray and his family. May your retirement be enjoyable, and always have fair winds and following seas.
