Good Evening, Thurgood Marshall parents, guardians, and students,

We are excited to welcome all parents and families to our Back to School Night event this Thursday evening, September 10th, at 6pm, beginning in our auditorium. This special evening is an opportunity for parents and families to come together, meet our amazing teachers and staff, and learn more about what to expect throughout the school year. You’ll have the chance to visit classrooms, learn about classroom expectations, hear about important events, and discover ways you can support your child’s academic success. At Marshall we believe that the strong partnership we create with our families is integral to creating a positive and successful learning experience for every student. We look forward to seeing you then!

Prior to the start of Back to School Night, at 5 pm, we will hold a special Evening of Excellence ceremony for our students who did not receive a certificate or received an incorrect designation. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm. Congratulations again, to all of our amazing scholars! Eagles SOAR!

Students:

There is no school tomorrow in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy a safe day off and we will see you on Tuesday, September 8th. Classes resume at 8:30 am on Tuesday.

This Thursday, September 10th, is a Minimum Day due to Back to School Night. School will be dismissed at 12:00pm. Please make a note of it and plan accordingly.

Club Rush will take place on Friday, September 11th, during high school lunch, in the South Quad. Come out and join a club this week!

On September 21st, there will be a make up day for senior portraits, ASB cards, and ID cards in the Sports Complex. The schedule is as follows:

Senior Portrait Make Ups: 8:30 - 9:30 am
ASB & ID Cards: 9:30 - 11:15 am. Students who purchase an ASB card will receive a free class T-Shirt. Shirts are limited - first come, first served. High school ASB Cards are $55, middle school ASB are $45. Students with ASB Cards also receive discounts to school dances, activities, spirit wear, and snacks. If you do not already have one, get your ASB Card on September 21st!
Parents:

We look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night this Thursday at 6:00pm! Do not miss this wonderful community building opportunity. We begin in the auditorium followed by classroom visits.

Nos complace dar la bienvenida a todos los padres y familias a nuestra «Noche de vuelta al colegio», que tendrá lugar este jueves 10 de septiembre a las 18:00 h en nuestro auditorio. Esta velada especial es una oportunidad para que los padres y las familias se reúnan, conozcan a nuestro magnífico equipo docente y al personal del centro, y obtengan más información sobre lo que pueden esperar a lo largo del curso escolar. Tendréis la oportunidad de visitar las aulas, conocer las expectativas de cada clase, informaros sobre eventos importantes y descubrir formas de apoyar el éxito académico de vuestros hijos. En Marshall creemos que la sólida colaboración que establecemos con nuestras familias es fundamental para crear una experiencia de aprendizaje positiva y satisfactoria para cada alumno. ¡Esperamos veros allí!

Antes del inicio de la Noche de Bienvenida al Curso, a las 17:00 h, celebraremos una ceremonia especial denominada «Noche de la Excelencia» para aquellos alumnos que no recibieron un certificado o a los que se les asignó una calificación incorrecta. La ceremonia comenzará puntualmente a las 17:00 h. ¡Enhorabuena de nuevo a todos nuestros maravillosos alumnos! ¡Eagles SOAR!

Alumnos:

Mañana no hay clase con motivo del Día del Trabajo. Disfrutad de un día libre con precaución y nos vemos el martes 8 de septiembre. Las clases se reanudan el martes a las 8:30 de la mañana.

Este jueves, 10 de septiembre, será una jornada reducida debido a la Noche de Bienvenida al Curso. Las clases terminarán a las 12:00 del mediodía. Por favor, tomad nota y organizáos en consecuencia.

La jornada de inscripción en clubes tendrá lugar el viernes, 11 de septiembre, durante la hora del almuerzo de los alumnos de secundaria, en el patio sur. ¡Venid y apuntáos a un club esta semana!

El 21 de septiembre habrá una jornada de recuperación para las fotos de los alumnos de último curso, las tarjetas ASB y los carnés de identificación en el Complejo Deportivo. El horario es el siguiente:

Recuperación de fotos de los alumnos de último curso: de 8:30 a 9:30 de la mañana

Tarjetas ASB y carnés de identificación: de 9:30 a 11:15 de la mañana. Los alumnos que compren una tarjeta ASB recibirán una camiseta de clase gratis. Las camisetas son limitadas: se repartirán por orden de llegada. Las tarjetas ASB de secundaria cuestan 55 $ y las de secundaria inferior, 45 $. Los alumnos con tarjetas ASB también obtienen descuentos en los bailes escolares, las actividades, la ropa con el emblema del colegio y los aperitivos. Si aún no tienes una, ¡consigue tu tarjeta ASB el 21 de septiembre!

¡Esperamos veros este jueves a las 18:00 h en la Noche de Bienvenida al Curso! No os perdáis esta maravillosa oportunidad para fomentar el espíritu de comunidad. Comenzaremos en el auditorio y, a continuación, habrá visitas a las aulas.

Some of the Thurgood Marshall Seniors who participated in Round One for the possibility to be a member of the 2027 Rose Court! The next and final opportunity for Round One is Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Apply at https://tournamentofroses.com/about/rose-court-applications/
