The LA 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games are an incredible opportunity for our region, including Pasadena and Arcadia, to host the world. But safely and efficiently transporting millions of spectators will require significant coordination and federal support.

I joined Representative Laura Friedman, Rep. Maxine Waters, Rep. Ted Lieu, Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove and LA’s public transit leaders to discuss lessons from this summer’s World Cup, and the federal resources we need to deliver a successful Games while building stronger transit for our communities for decades to come.

It is egregious that survivors of the 2025 LA fires have now waited the longest in U.S. history to receive federal recovery funds – all because Trump is using this desperately needed relief as a political bargaining chip.

Disaster relief should not be a partisan issue, and our communities deserve the resources to properly rebuild and heal. I will keep pushing Trump to fulfill Gov. Newsom’s disaster supplemental request, with no strings attached. Survivors cannot afford any more delays.

Eaton and Palisades fire survivors have waited longer than any other disaster survivors for long-term federal help.

On the 63rd anniversary of the March on Washington, we honor the legacy of those who stood together to demand equality and justice.

Today, the march continues. While this administration works to roll back civil and voting rights, we will continue to fight for our democracy.

Today marks 6 months since Trump dragged our country into an unnecessary and costly war with Iran, and he has nothing to show for it.

American servicemembers have lost their lives. Families are paying more for gas and everyday necessities. And billions of taxpayer dollars have been poured into a war that has made Americans less safe and less financially secure.

Six months is already too long. Democrats will continue fighting to end this illegal war, bring our troops home, and put the needs of the American people first.

The Iran war has become a major feature of Trump’s second term, hurting his standing with voters at home and eroding the U.S. position in the Middle East.

It was a pleasure joining Rep. Gil Cisneros last weekend for our annual Veterans Forum.

Providing our Veterans with the health care, housing, education, and business support they need after their service is the least we can do. Thank you to all who came out to connect Veterans and their families with the resources they deserve.

I stand with Rep. LaMonica McIver and everyone who has the courage to stand up against Trump’s cruel, dehumanizing immigration agenda. When our immigrant neighbors are suffering in U.S. custody, Members of Congress have a duty to conduct oversight, demand accountability, and be their voice for justice.

We will not be intimidated into silence.

I am proud to lead this fight with Congressman Kevin Mullin to stop the closure of the National Archives at San Francisco in San Bruno.

These facilities house precious records that tell AANHPI stories that are often overlooked, including the history of Japanese American incarceration during WWII and the immigrants subjected to the Chinese Exclusion Act. My grandfather immigrated from China to San Francisco in 1904, and I shudder to think that not only his story, but those of so many others might be lost forever with this closure.

We are fighting to keep these stories accessible to the communities whose stories to tell, and we will not let this Administration erase this important history.

Trump escalated his reckless trade war with one of our closest allies by imposing 50% tariffs on Canadian goods. The result: roughly $20 billion in American goods will now face new tariffs.

California imports more than $15 billion in Canadian goods every year. Our families and businesses will be stuck with the bill.
