IT PASSED!!! AB 1642 cleared the full Assembly Floor, and now it's headed to the State Senate. 🎉

Here's where we stand:
✅ March 10 — Passed Assembly Environmental Safety & Toxic Materials Committee
✅ May 14 — Passed Assembly Appropriations Committee
✅ May 27 — Passed Assembly Floor Vote
⬜ TBD — Second House Votes, State Senate

Every checkpoint is a win this community helped earn. The science, the survivors, and the coalition behind AB 1642 have kept this bill moving forward at every stage.

Day 1 of House of Origin ✔️

Proud to have AB 1842 and AB 1847 pass off the Assembly Floor today. Big step forward for wildfire survivors and families trying to rebuild after disaster.

Still a long road ahead in the Senate, but we’re keeping the pressure on. 💪

attended the 20th anniversary of DoubleTree Claremont 🎉

A space where the San Gabriel Valley gathers, connects, and celebrates milestones big and small. Grateful to the DoubleTree staff who have helped make it a local staple over the years.

Special shout out to General Manager Andrew Behnke for being such a vital part of the community!

Factory Built Housing Permitting and Inspecting has passed off the Assembly floor and is now heading to the Senate. 🏠

Why this matters: California’s housing shortage is driving up costs and pushing too many families out of stable housing. Expanding factory-built housing helps speed up construction, reduce costs, and increase the overall supply of homes—so communities can build faster and more affordably without sacrificing quality.

AB 1970 passed out of the Assembly Floor with strong bipartisan support!

This bill will go a long way toward improving outcomes for patients with serious mental illness and substance use disorder by ensuring insurance barriers do not delay access to medically necessary medications. I’m proud to see this bill advance to the Senate!
