We are receiving reports of a heavy smell of smoke in the City of Pasadena. There are no active fires in the City at this time, although there is a smoke advisory for unhealthy air quality due to multiple wildfires throughout Los Angeles County.

We urge everyone in areas where there is visible smoke or the smell of smoke or unhealthy air quality to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure and to limit physical exertion (whether indoor or outdoor), such as exercise.
Children, older adults, and people who are pregnant or have other air quality sensitive conditions, such as heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should follow these recommendations and stay indoors as much as possible even in areas where smoke, soot, or ash cannot be seen or there is no smell of smoke. If your condition worsens, contact your health care provider immediately for medical advice.

Rediscover the glee and excitement of riding a bike! Leave the car at home and see the city on two wheels during Pasadena Bike Month, from Saturday, May 2, through Sunday, May 31, 2026. The City of Pasadena Department of Transportation organizes Pasadena Bike Month with community partners Day One and Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition. This fun annual event returns to celebrate bicycling as a safe, healthy, and sustainable way to get around town.

Organizers have planned free activities all month long for riders of all ages and abilities, with some events requiring reservations due to limited ride capacity.
Helmets are required for youth under 18 and recommended for all ages. Bikes should be in good working order to participate, including bike lights (strongly encouraged for night events).

The Department of Transportation invites the public to provide feedback on the draft Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP). The SRTP provides guidance for five years of programming for transit service development and investments that support the policy goals of Pasadena Transit and Pasadena Dial-A-Ride, the official city-operated public transit services.

Feedback will be collected through April 3, 2026.

The report can be accessed, and feedback can be provided, via the project site: Bit.ly/PasadenaSRTP.

Feedback can also be provided by phone by calling the Transit Division’s main line 626-744-4055 or email to [email protected].

Reminder 🚨 You’re invited to the City Council Workshop of the Draft Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Vision Plan TODAY, March 30, 2026, 6 p.m., at the Pasadena City Hall, Council Chambers.

The Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Vision Plan consolidates the work led by consultants Perkins Eastman, the City Council-appointed Reconnecting Communities 710 Advisory Group, City staff, and other stakeholders over the past three years into a comprehensive, community-driven plan.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to district 3 resident, Danny Parker, Chair of the Reconnecting Communities 710 Advisory Group for his service and dedication to this important work.

District 3 reflects Pasadena’s rich cultural and artistic history. I had the opportunity to visit W.J.D. Gallery on Fair Oaks Avenue, a key part of our community.

W.J.D. Gallery’s Reflections of Hope showcases resilience and beauty within our neighborhoods. Places like this demonstrate that art is an essential part of the district.
