Amazing to think that there actually can be a worse candidate than Lina Hidalgo. Already Council Member Letitia Plummer is showing us how incompetent she is with having to amend every campaign finance report since jumping into this race. A material Harris County campaign-finance development emerged today.
Houston Chronicle reports that Harris County Judge Democratic nominee Letitia Plummer amended all five campaign-finance reports filed since launching her campaign in July 2025 after a broader review triggered by an ethics complaint. The corrections reduced her reported contributions by $58,264, from $357,038 to $298,774, and addressed misclassified loans and other reporting errors. A previously reported $5,000 payment to a relative was also removed from the amended filing. The Texas Ethics Commission complaint has not been adjudicated, and Plummer attributes the discrepancies to clerical and data-entry mistakes.
Why it matters politically: This is more than a single-line correction. Amending every report filed since campaign launch creates a new transparency and compliance issue in the Harris County Judge race, changes the campaign’s reported fundraising picture, and gives opponents a concrete campaign-finance line of attack while the TEC matter remains unresolved.
If you thought about voting for her, I urge you to think about how important it is to have someone in that position that is qualified. Orlando Sanchez for County Judge will have my vote and I kindly ask that you consider supporting him as well.
