Brush Dump Extended Hours

Following the storms that moved through our area this weekend, the City of Parsons Brush Dump will be open all week from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM daily to give residents additional time to dispose of limbs and branches.

Regular hours will resume next week.

Thank you to everyone working to clean up after the storms, and please stay safe while doing so!

Community Cleanup in Action

We wanted to share a few follow-up photos from the demolition at 2523 Stevens to give our community a closer look at the work being done by our Code Enforcement and Public Works crews.

Unfortunately, this structure had deteriorated beyond the point where it could reasonably be saved. It had become a health and safety hazard, making its removal an important step for the surrounding neighborhood. This was especially concerning because the property is located near a school bus stop where children regularly gather.

This is a great example of the mission behind the work our crews do. Removing unsafe structures isn’t just about cleaning up a property—it’s about protecting our residents, improving our neighborhoods, and creating a safer, cleaner Parsons for everyone.

Bridge Repair Notice

Bridge repair on North Boulevard between 16th Street and Lincoln Avenue is scheduled to begin Monday morning.

Crews will work on one lane at a time, allowing the other lane to remain open to traffic throughout the project.

Please slow down, use caution, and watch for crews and equipment when traveling through the area. Please use an alternate route if possible.

Working to Improve Our Community

Parsons Code Enforcement and Public Works crews have been hard at work lately removing unsafe and deteriorated structures throughout the city.

These demolitions are an important part of addressing problem properties, improving neighborhood safety, and helping clean up our community one property at a time.
