Mayor Pulkit Desai, the Township Council, and the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills are excited to announce a full week of patriotic festivities and community events celebrating the Fourth of July and commemorating America’s 250th Anniversary!
From June 29 through July 4, residents are invited to come together for a week of remembrance, service, creativity, and family fun as we honor our nation’s history and celebrate the community spirit that makes Parsippany such a special place to call home.
America Week Schedule
Monday, June 29
“Honoring the Service Among Us”
Town Hall | 12 p.m.
Community ceremony honoring veterans, law enforcement, and first responders with a flag raising, proclamation, and bell ringing.
Tuesday, June 30
“Stories of Parsippany”
Veterans Park | 7 p.m.
Community BYO picnic and short documentary viewing.
Wednesday, July 1
“Civic Engagement Day”
Town Hall | 7 p.m.
Celebrating winning student essays, poems, and artwork, including a special reading by one of the student winners.
Thursday, July 2
“Keep America Beautiful”
Location TBD
Join fellow residents in a community cleanup effort as part of the Keep America Beautiful Pledge.
Friday, July 3
“Art & America”
Veterans Park | 6:30 p.m.
Community art, poetry, and essay displays in the park. Bring your own picnic and enjoy an evening celebrating creativity and country.
Saturday, July 4
Mayor Desai’s Community BBQ
Smith Field Park | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sponsored by Outback Steakhouse, the first 250 attendees will receive a free hamburger or hot dog, and the first 100 veggie burgers will be free. Additional food will be available for just $2.50.
Independence Day Celebration
Parsippany Hills High School Fields | Beginning at 5 p.m.
Enjoy live music, food trucks, carnival attractions, inflatables, and family activities before the evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display. Food trucks and concessions at the evening Independence Day Celebration and fireworks at Parsippany Hills High School will be available for purchase.
Residents can also take their shot at Dunk Mayor Desai between 7 and 8 p.m. ($5 donation for two throws), with proceeds benefiting the Parsippany Food Pantry.
Join us as we celebrate 250 years of American independence and the traditions, values, and community spirit that continue to make Parsippany-Troy Hills such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
