Let's go Parrish!! Another great week of training and community outreach. So much fun with families and kids from Manatee Mama's Meetup and a special thanks to Rhinos 11U Baseball Team for serving the Parrish Community by helping Parrish Fire Bureau build awareness bags for prevention.

After 10 years of dedicated service with Parrish Fire District and nearly 38 years of dedication to the fire service at large, we bid a fond farewell to Division Chief Michael Williamson. Whose commitment to the Parrish Fire District and the broader Parrish Community has left a lasting impact. From coordinating staff training to ensuring compliance across our operations, Williamson played a vital role in strengthening our department and supporting those who serve. We are deeply grateful for his tireless efforts, steady leadership, and unwavering professionalism. As Williamson steps into retirement, we celebrate not just a career well spent but a legacy of service that will continue to inspire. Please join Parrish Fire District in wishing a member of our family, Division Chief Michael Williamson, all the best in his next chapter.

The Parrish Fire District is proud to announce the purchase of our new safety, lightweight, traditional style fire helmets… The purchase of these helmets was the result of an employee based survey and evaluation process for safety, comfort, and durability. This collaborative effort between labor and management validates our team’s commitment to safety and welfare of our members. The funding for this purchase was supported through the Florida Firefighters Assistance Grant… We are so grateful for the support from the Florida State Fire Director JoAnne Rice. Thank You!

Dear Parrish Community,

Today August 4th, 2025 will be forever remembered in its rich and historical moments as it placed into service its first mobile aerial device ...Ladder819 into service with a ceremonial wet down/push in ceremony.

Once the apparatus was pushed into place for dedication, first and foremost the Ownbey Family placed a sticker on the side of the rig that is displayed on all apparatus in honor with distinction the memory of our beloved Asst. Chief Wayne L. Ownbey his leadership, dedication and love of the Parrish village was his Passion and the reason Fire/Rescue services are in existence here today.

We also introduced in swearing in four new career firefighters to the ranks with a host of new Reserve Responders that will be an integral component of our Operational Division and boost our recruitment and retention program forward in hiring the best of the best firefighters for the future

We would like to "thank"all the friends, families and firefighters in attendance today who took time out today to brave the heat to be apart along with our wonderful community partners as your support is unmatched in Manatee County. This laborious process has been in the works for nearly a year, and a job well done for all involved putting all the effort, hardwork and dedication today. 🚒

Dear Parrish Community,

This past week our Operations Division that included all three shifts A,B, C wrapped up our Summer reading program this summer.

Each summer for over five years with our amazing partnership with the Early Learning Coalition pick out books that advocate all different types of safety practices in keeping our kids healthy and safe over the summer months. To the kids, yes Safety is number one but also we stress reading literacy as the focal point for success in each school year

Thank you to Forza Child Development Center and the Little School House for having us...🚒❤️

***Special Announcement***
Dear Parrish Community,

The Parrish Fire District is thrilled to announce its partnership with oneblood and the "Big Red Bus" as the 2025 Summer season kicks off. Yearly, the community experiences a significant decline in life-sustaining blood levels due to lower donation turnout during summer months.

To address this pressing need, we are launching a campaign together to increase supply this year. Each blood donor will receive a $20 gift card, a Limited 1st Responders Pin, and a hat with their donation. Moreover, each donor will receive a complimentary health check-up. For those with limited time, online scheduling is available at oneblood.org/donate-new using product code 65333.
