“Last night as they were trying to unlock the car, 2 of the nicest Parish officers came to help. They assisted in any way they could even offering what tools they had. They were so nice. My son went to Jacks for food and one of the officers were ahead of him and paid for his food. I’d like to personally thank that cop. He went way above and beyond. Parrish should be proud of their officers, we sure were. Thank y’all again. By the way car did get unlocked and the cop came back to help and shined the lights so they could see to unlock it. Just wanted to let everyone know how awesome these guys were. Thanks to all who reached out and offered to help last night.”

On Friday, October 10th, 2025, officers were on patrol and observed a suspicious motorcycle parked at an abandon house on White Street. While officers were investigating the suspicious activity the driver of the motorcycle fled on foot. It was then determined that the motorcycle had been stolen the day before out of Winston County. Officers were unable to locate the suspect, but he has been identified as W/M, Donny Carr, 55 of Jasper. The police department has obtained a warrant against Carr for Receiving Stolen Property first degree. The suspect has several warrants for his arrest with multiple jurisdictions. If you have any information on this case or know the whereabouts of Donny Carr, contact the Parrish Police Department or the Winston County Sheriffs Department.

In a separate incident on October 1st, 2025, officers with the Parrish Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle on Main Drive. As the Officer attempted to make contact with the suspect he drove off at a high rate of speed toward Tuscaloosa Road. The Officer was able to catch up with him and attempted to stop him. The suspect fled to New Oakman Hwy toward Oakman. The suspect swerved toward oncoming traffic several times. The Officer terminated the chase at this point for safety concerns to the public. We were able to determine the driver of the vehicle was W/M, Michael Tyree, 52 of Berry. The police department has obtained a felony warrant against Tyree for Attempting to Elude. The suspect also has a Probation Revocation with the Walker County Sheriffs Department. If you know the whereabouts of Michael Tyree, contact the Parrish Police Department.

Officer Wilson dedicated over 20 years with the Birmingham Police Department and the last few years with the Cordova Police Department. He was a great Police Officer and an example to all. Even while battling health issues he still showed up to work and never complained. Officer Wilson passed away this morning. He will be missed by everyone especially his Law Enforcement family.
