๐Ÿš“ Monthly Meeting Recap ๐Ÿš“

Last night, our Law Post Explorers had the opportunity to visit the The Parma Regional 911 Dispatch Center and learn firsthand about the critical role dispatchers play in public safety.

Explorers received an inside look at how emergency calls are handled, how dispatchers coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses, and the level of professionalism required to remain calm under pressure. One of the most impactful moments of the evening was observing live phone calls โ€” including a dispatcher calmly guiding a caller through CPR instructions, demonstrating how lifesaving actions often begin long before first responders arrive on scene.

Experiences like this give our Explorers a deeper understanding of teamwork in public safety and highlight that dispatchers truly are the first first responders.

Thank you to the Parma Dispatch staff for taking the time to educate and inspire the next generation of public safety professionals!

Today we recognize International Womenโ€™s Day and celebrate the women who serve and lead in law enforcement. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Women continue to play a vital role in policing across the United States. While women make up roughly 12-13% of sworn law enforcement officers nationwide, their impact on the profession is significant and continues to grow.

In law enforcement, representation matters. Programs like the Law Post Explorer Program help introduce young women to careers in public safety, leadership, and service. Through training, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, explorers gain a firsthand look at policing and the opportunities available to them in the profession.

Today we celebrate the women officers, supervisors, instructors, and explorers who help shape the future of policing. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to community service continue to inspire the next generation.

The future of policing includes strong women leaders.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค
