Wounded Veteran Retreat Program is starting a Fundraising Event, starting September 25th. It is being sponsored by The Riveters, a restaurant in Tampa, Florida. The restaurant has several large screen TVs to watch the Tampa Buccaneers football games. We will be there, helping to serve the fans. A percentage of the income during the game goes to WVRP for our future events, to include our next sailing events and for the Peter Andrew McKenna Scholarship Fund. We will also be selling shirts, caps and coins at the events. If you can't be there, get on our website and donate to help this humble cause. Thanks. ( www.woundedveteran.us )

Wounded Veterans Retreat Program sponsored the fifth (5th) Peter Andrew McKenna Scholarship Fund on Saturday, August 17th. The recipient is Jaden O'Leary, whose father is a SGM at 3rd SFG. What a wonderful family! Jaden is a dedicated student athlete. We look forward to hearing great things about him in the future!

Thanks to the awesome cadets at Norwich University for a spectacular fund raising event for Wounded Veterans Retreat Program!! Over 200 participants! A great, cold, wet day, perfect for a Norwegian Foot March! The proceeds will benefit a hand selected individual who will receive the Peter Andrew McKenna Scholarship Fund. Stay tune for more news!!

What a great event last week!! Presented the Peter Andrew McKenna scholarship Fund to the 2018 recipient, Alexis McHargue! She is incredible and heading to Auburn University. Soon to be Doctor McHargue. Lt. Trevor Nozell from Norwich University was there! Mr. and Mrs. McKenna were there. Great day!

The Remembrance Run 10K/5K pays tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Run in honor and remembrance of those who defend our freedom. The Remembrance 10K / 5K pays tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those men, women and their families who continue to fight for freedom. The run is a scenic, flat course that winds through Camp Johnson and historic Montford Point. Show your support for America’s heroes in this run to remember.
Myself and other members of the Wounded Veterans Retreat Program will be running this race in Remembrance of 1st SGT Peter Andrew McKenna. Each year, we provide a scholarship fund to a Gold Star family member, based on donations from scholarship fund events such as this run, the Norwich University Norwegian Foot March, etc.

Wounded Veterans Retreat Program will be announcing this year's recipient of the Peter Andrew McKenna Scholarship Fund very soon. The main fund raising event for the scholarship is put on each year by the awesome cadets at Norwich University. Stand by for more and a special thanks to everyone who donated to this worthy cause!

The Norwegian Foot March is next week, on Saturday, April 28th at Norwich University for Wounded Veterans Retreat Program. The proceeds will go to the Andrew McKenna Scholarship Fund. Today, we identified a recipient for the scholarship. It will go to a Gold Star family member who is preparing for college. We will be making the presentation to the recipient on Saturday, May 29th, the weekend before Memorial Day. Any donations received before then will go to the scholarship fund. Thanks in advanced for you generous donations!
