Storms Hit the Area Tuesday Night with More Anticipated

KVFD responded to numerous incidents last evening and overnight as a strong storm impacted western Chester County.

The KVFD Fire District, which includes West Sadsbury, Parkesburg, and Highland, was especially affected, with multiple calls for downed trees and wires throughout the night.

Sadsbury Township also experienced significant storm damage. Crews from both Sadsburyville Fire Company and KVFD managed several incidents in the Pomeroy section of Sadsbury Township.

KVFD had a busy night last evening and overnight as western chester county took a hit from the storm.

The District consisting of West Sadsbury, Parkesburg and Highland all took a substantial hit with trees and wires calls throughout the night!

Severe Weather Event- Pomeroy Section of Sadsbury Township

Route 372 (Valley Road) between Wilmington Road and Old Wilmington Road is Closed due to several trees down, poles down.

Use caution in the area. Responders and Peco will be in the area.

🚒 Training With Our Neighbors in Lancaster County! 🚒

🚒 Training With Our Neighbors! 🚒

Today, KVFD was requested to assist Gap Fire Company and Pequea Valley Fire Department with a training drill focused on rural water movement in Lancaster County.

Tanker 8 joined several mutual-aid companies from Lancaster County, giving our crews the opportunity to work together while getting valuable hands-on experience with rural water supply operations.

Training like this strengthens our regional partnerships and helps ensure that when the call comes, we are prepared to work seamlessly with our neighboring departments.

A special thank you to Gap Fire Company for inviting KVFD to participate and for putting together a great training opportunity!
