‼️📢 The countdown is on!! The pool opens for the season this Saturday, May 30th! As a reminder, pool passes MUST be purchased at City Hall - they will not be available for purchase at the pool. If you are unable to come in during normal business hours, please call City Hall at 319-346-2262 or send us a private message to discuss an alternate arrangement! We are looking forward to many hot, sunny days at pool this summer! 💦🏊☀️

📣 Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, May 13th), you may purchase pool passes at City Hall. Swimming lesson sign up for Parkersburg residents will also start tomorrow at City Hall. Swimming lesson sign up for families who do not live in Parkersburg will begin on Wednesday, May 20th. ☀️🏊

‼️ A few important notes:

- Pool passes can only be purchased at City Hall. We accept cash, check, and card for payment. Pool hours and pool pass pricing can be found on our website at www.parkersburgia.com. If you are unable to come to City Hall during business hours, please call 319-346-2262 to discuss an alternate arrangement.

- There will only be two sessions of public swimming lessons this summer due to the limited number of WSI certified instructors. The first session will be July 6th - 10th, and the second session will be August 3rd -7th. We will be limiting each level to 8 participants for each session. Unlike previous years, lessons must be paid for at the time of registration. Unfortunately, in the past, we have had to turn people away due to classes being full and then registered participants did not show up.

- We will have a sign up sheet at City Hall for those who are interested in private lessons. Filling out this form does not guarantee private lessons due to the very limited number of WSI certified instructors as well as instructor availability. WSI certified instructors will do their best to reach out to you to accommodate private lessons within their schedule.

Memorial Day is right around the corner, and the Avenue of Flags is looking for volunteers to help put up the flag poles and flags!

On Wednesday, May 20, at 6:00pm, the Avenue of Flags will be putting up the flags and flag poles, and the flags will be taken down on Tuesday, June 16, at 6:00pm 💪

‼️ Parkersburg Residents: We will be flushing hydrants TOMORROW (Friday, May 1st) during the early morning hours as part of our routine water system maintenance. Flushing removes sediment from pipes and water mains to keep the water distribution system refreshed. You may experience water discoloration during this time, and we suggest refraining from doing laundry until the water clears up. Please call Parkersburg City Hall with any questions or concerns! 📞
