During National Library week, which was focused on community connections, some of our patrons painted pictures of their favorite things in the community. They were broken up into three categories by age and these were the top winners (Stephenie, Brinley & Crew) with their pictures. Do you recognize these places in Parkersburg? Mark your calendar for the Aplington-Parkersburg Summer Reading 2026 Kickoff in Parkersburg on Thursday, June 4th and in Aplington on Friday, June 5th. These programs will be full of exotic animals and both will have a hands-on experience. Great for All Ages so join us on the 4th & 5th of June! A shout-out to the Lions for providing a hot dog meal on June 4th and for all of those who supported us with the Brothers Market Round Up!

Two weeks left of The Friends of the Library book sale and more! We just put out some for Christen Fiction and have a number of puzzles for sale. Still a number of DVD's and much more for sale. The money goes to the Friends of the Library to help support the number of programs they offer such as Dolly's Imagination Library, Adventure Pass, Trick or Read, Stuff A Bear in December and they are working on a Story walk project.
