Parkersburg Legion Post 285 invites all members of the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and American Auxiliary to attend a special event featuring guest speaker Mike Monserud. Mike will be speaking on Saturday Feb. 21, 2026, at 9 AM at the Parkersburg Post 285 Legion Building.

Mike Monserud, a Navy Veteran residing in Eldora, Iowa, works with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office. He exemplifies the American Legion Family, holding memberships in four organizations: the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary (through his ex-wife, also a Navy Veteran), and the American Legion Riders.

Currently, Mike Monserud serves as the Alternate National Executive Committeeman and is the trailing candidate for National Commander of the Sons of the American Legion.

Join us to hear Mike Monserud share his insights on the American Legion services, leadership, and community support.

The Son's of Post 285 will being having their monthly meeting on Dec. 27 at 7 AM. The Post 285 Legion will be having their meeting at 7:30 AM.

There will be no Legion Breakfast in December. The next Legion Breakfast will be Jan. 25, 2026.

Parkersburg American Legion Post #285 will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation Pork Loin Supper on Monday November 24. Veterans eat free and a free will donation is asked for the public.
