🚨 NOW HIRING: Program Coordinator

We’re seeking a dedicated indivdidual to support our programs. This position is available full-time or part-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day operations to ensure smooth program ex*****on

• Coordinate and lead volunteer teams effectively

• Develop and fulfill program-specific tasks and
initiatives

Qualifications We’re Seeking:

• Enthusiastic and ambitious mindset, with a passion for growth and impact

• Ability to lift 40lbs+ as needed for occasional physical tasks

• Prior experience preferred but not required—we provide comprehensive onboarding

Old Man Rivers, with some help from the SPHS ROTC and Son Shine Corner, will be outside our local Walmart buildings to collect donations that will help feed families throughout Wood County.

We are asking for common non-perishable items and items for our hygiene pantry. We hope to see you there!

📍 TODAY (Thursday, Nov 6th): Outside Southside Walmart from 4 PM - 8 PM.

📍 This Saturday, Nov 8th: Outside Vienna Walmart from 10 AM - 6 PM.

In these challenging times, we're here to support you and your families. Starting this week, we're extending our Food Pantry hours to better serve our neighbors in need:

📅 Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
🕒 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

To get started, simply stop by during these hours. Registration is quick and straightforward.

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Amazing Community! 🌟

At Old Man Rivers Food Bank, we’re deeply grateful to be part of a community that comes together with such compassion and determination to support those in need. Your collective efforts—through local partnerships, volunteer energy, and shared commitment—make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve accomplished together in 2025 so far:
🍽️ Served 4,873 households and 13,701 individuals through our food pantry.
🥄 Provided 24,440 hot meals to individuals in need through our weekend meal program.
🥕 Distributed fresh, locally grown produce like squash, zucchini, radishes, beets, and green beans, thanks to the generous donations from The Riverhawk Farm and Carlton Hill Farm.

This June, our volunteers brought incredible energy and heart:
🙌 Praying Pelican Mission groups, organized by The Escape, helped with our day-to-day operations while providing a burst of enthusiasm.
🌞 “Son” Shine Corner faithfully showed up every Thursday to keep our pantry shelves stocked with prepared boxes
💪 North Star Child Advocacy Center packed over 250 boxes for our food pantry, making a huge impact.

We’re so excited for what the rest of 2025 holds and can’t wait to continue serving alongside our neighbors. Thank you for your support, whether it’s volunteering, donating, or spreading the word. Together, we’re building a stronger, more caring community. 💙

Our food pantry is open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 12:00pm - 3:00pm
