Elementary Ag in the Classroom Round #8: 2025-2026 FINALE

On Wednesday, FFA members visited the 2nd graders for the final “EAC” this year! The last lesson was an extension of our dairy lesson earlier this year. It was time to break out the ice, bags, and dairy to make homemade ice cream! We had a quick tutorial and got to work. Then students added their toppings and we enjoyed the final visit.

This has been an awesome inaugural year of Elementary Ag in the Classroom. This partnership has been great for our members and the 2nd graders. Thanks to our community through social media challenges, we have secured $2,500 to make this a permanent activity for years to come. Starting next fall, we will have improvements in place and curriculum set for the entire year. Thank you to Mrs. Hoppenworth, Mrs. Schneiderman, and Mrs. Marcinkus for allowing us to join their classrooms this year!

This initiative won’t be “melting” away... we will be back for more in 2026-2027!

Way to go Lila!

Congratulations to our final student selected to represent APHS for the 2025-2026 Falcon Pride Award - Junior Lila Reints!!!

Lila has gone above and beyond to support the Music, Theatre, and Wrestling Programs and has been recognized for her willingness to help whenever asked. She could be seen all day helping set up the Solo and Ensemble contest held at APHS, and also stayed to help take tickets for the entire run.

"Lila is somebody you know who will pitch in to help if she's ever asked - most of the time, you don't even have to ask!"

Today’s graduation has marked an end for this group of 11. It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. We want to take a moment to reflect on the Class of 2026. You’ve left a lasting impact and we are so proud to now welcome you as Alumni!

“…The class of 2026 is a group driven by doing things that others around them cannot. This group has a unique ability to spit out the solutions to problems like you cannot believe. It’s ironic, in the day and age of ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft CoPilot and more, they remind us a lot of what those AI tools can do. Superpowered tools that leverage what is already known… to make life easier for all users. Sounds a lot like the class of 2026.

They just know how to get stuff done and majority of the time, it is done without asking. It is like being on autopilot or cruise control. Not mindless by any means… instead intentional and purposeful. Whatever it is - It just gets done. This class of 2026 will always be remembered for being AUTONOMOUS!”

To our underclassmen: here are your leaders, friends, and role models to look up to. This group has shown what it means to give, serve, and uplift others.

👏 Here’s to the Class of 2026—your legacy will live on. Best of luck in all of your future endeavors!

TGIF! ☀️🌺🌼🪷🍱

To celebrate ALL the hard work and nearly 1,500 hours of work-based learning this trimester - Our Falcon Growers Greenhouse team traveled to tour and learn at the Arboretum and Botanical Center as well as eat lunch at Sakura.

It was an incredibly beautiful day to visit Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens and take in some of the unique attractions. The lilacs were in full bloom and smelling awesome, we toured around to look at the hundreds of varieties of annuals and perennials, fed the large koi, learned some super interesting things along the way, gained some appreciation for the outdoors, and simply enjoyed some time together to decompress from the packed trimester!

We then went to Sakura for lunch with a show. We returned in the early afternoon to catch the last classes of the day. Overall, great morning and early afternoon to celebrate the work while catching some rays!
