On behalf of the Public Works and Police Department thank you Parkersburg residents for ensuring that your vehicles were off the roadway during the storm. Now, due to the potential of another storm this evening another snow emergency will go into effect 11:59pm tonight until noon on Thursday. Thank you for continued cooperation.

Public works plans to come out again tonight please make sure all vehicles are moved off the roadway. We understand some businesses may still be open downtown and they will do their best to work around it.

There has been a black lab, with a brown color, dragging around a broken black leash. Several attempts have been made to catch the dog but we are unable to get close enough to it. If anyone knows the owner of the dog please let us know. In attempt to catch the dog today it was last seen heading south on Commerce Ave.

There will be no street parking allowed tomorrow, Friday September 7th, on 1st Street between 3rd Ave and Wemple Street. This is for the homecoming parade. You may park on the street once the parade is completed and for normal school pick-ups.
