Our first formal day is tomorrow, September 3rd!

To help morning routines go smoothly, here is a quick checklist of tomorrow's formal dress code:

The Color Theme: Formal days are all about BLACK.

Tops: A black polo shirt. (Elementary students can wear a plain black polo; Middle School students need the black polo with our embroidered logo).

Bottoms: Black pants, skirts, skorts, or shorts. Please note that leggings are not permitted on formal days.

Shoes: Plain black shoes without any embellishments.

A Quick Note of Reassurance:
Please do not stress about formal day tomorrow! We know that back-to-school shipping delays are incredibly common in August and September. If your formal items haven't arrived yet, just do your best to send your child in plain black shoes, black pants, and a black polo.

The Parent Community Association is excited to announce our upcoming community night at Slick City!

Mark your calendars now so you can join the PCA and fellow PPA Families in an evening of family fun. This is a great opportunity for your child to build friendships with peers outside the classroom while you as the grown up can relax.

Time? 4:00pm - 8:00pm

The PCA will provide 2 slices of pizza and 1 drink per student from 4:30pm-6:30pm during this event.

Assistant Principal for the Day Proclamation! Assistant Principal Baker has declared the following for tomorrow, Friday, August 28th, 2026.

All students may wear INSIDE OUT dress of choice!
(if your student chooses not to participate they must wear their normal school uniform.)

2nd graders will get extra recess time.

3rd graders may bring a stuffy to school.
(stuffy must fit in their backpack and be no bigger than 12 inches or the size of a child's lunch box)

Join PPA Middle School Staff tonight for our Middle School Back to School Night. You will tour the school following your student's daily schedule. While in each class, you will meet the teacher, learn classroom procedures and expectations, and the topics your students will be learning this year! We start promptly at 6:00pm!

Be sure to look up your student's schedule ahead of time using Infinite Campus.

Parker Performing Arts School families: Discover Costa Rica with our middle school students in summer 2027! Join the informational meeting on September 9 to learn about wildlife, waterfalls, rafting, chocolate, culture, and more. This trip is available for 6th - 8th grade PPA students.

Tomorrow, August 18th, 2026, is PPA's first Tuesday Late Start of the year.

Driveline Drop-off starts at 8:40am
Middle School Students classes start at 9:00am
Elementary School Students classes start at 9:15am

Spotlight Before Care is open 6:30am - 9:00am for a $15 drop in fee

Please note Parker Performing Arts DOES NOT follow DCSD's Friday Late start.
We hold our Late Start on Tuesdays every week.

Due to close proximity to inclement weather, Parker Performing Arts is currently operating under a weather dismissal. This means students must be released at a slower time pace to ensure everyone’s safety. We appreciate your patience with this process. Currently walking students are being held until we can safely release them. We will update with further information as it becomes available.

Update 4:23 - we have upgraded from a weather to a lighting dismissal - this means we can only release a small number of students at a time directly in front of the building. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding with keeping our students safe.

Update 4:41 - we have concluded our driveline on the first day! Thank you so much for everyone’s patience and kindness and understanding! We promise it will go way faster! Our community is amazing.

Tomorrow is THE DAY! Welcome back to all of our amazing students and families, we are so excited to have you.

Here are some helpful tips and tricks for the first day of school at PPA.

Driveline starts at 7:40am
Middle School students should be in the building by 8:00am
Elementary students should be in the building by 8:15am

Kindergarten students will have a linger longer event at 9:00am at the front of the building.

Middle school students we strongly suggest logging in to Infinite Campus tonight, screenshotting your schedule and saving it as your background for the first couple days!

Tomorrow is NOT a formal day - students should come in their regular everyday uniform. Please see the Parent/Student Handbook for more details.
