The New World Screw Worm is a serious livestock pest that has affected the livestock industry in the past. It was effectively eradicated from the US a few decades ago. It remained in some parts of south America and has been observed to move northwards a year or two ago. Its presence in the US has been confirmed a few days ago in Texas and in New Mexico. Additional information is available at this link: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/news/agency-announcements/usda-confirms-two-additional-cases-new-world-screwworm-united-states

🌱 We need a little help growing something beautiful.

A community garden isn’t just about vegetables.

It’s about kids learning where food comes from.
Neighbors meeting each other.
Fresh food being shared.
And creating a space that belongs to everyone.

Right now we’re looking for local businesses, families, and community members to sponsor a garden bed and help keep The Parker Community Garden alive and thriving. 🌻

Water is life. Our community garden has been living on borrowed water to survive and we need your help to keep our water needs met and our garden beds thriving.

Each sponsored bed will include a small sign recognizing the sponsor, so every time something grows, people will see the community members who helped make it happen.

If you love seeing good things happen in our town, this is a simple way to be part of it.

👉 Take a look at the flyer for details.
👉 Tag a local business or friend who might want to sponsor a bed.
👉 Or message us if you’d like to help.

A garden starts with just a few seeds…
but with a community behind it, it can grow into something really special. 🌿
