Indoor Playground, Sensory Gym, Sensory Play, Birthday Parties The Third Place for Kids is Colorado’s first sensory-friendly community center designed for all families with children ages 12 and under, with a special focus on supporting neurodivergent and disabled kids. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we're more than just an indoor play space or sensory gym, we’re a welcoming social hub where kids can play, regulate, and build connections outside of home and school. With our cozy lounge area, parents and caregivers finally have a place to recharge, connect with others, and access helpful resources all while staying within comfortable line of sight. Your first visit is free, then join as a member for unlimited access! We also offer birthday party rentals open to everyone!

Fall fun + community? We’re in. 🍂

We’re excited to be joining Christian Brothers Automotive Parker for their Harvest Festival on October 24th!

Come experience some fall-themed fun with a petting zoo, inflatables, pumpkin painting, free hot dogs & burgers, and even FREE oil changes with registration!

With all that fun comes lots of sights, sounds, and activity, so TTP will be running the sensory tent throughout the event for anyone who needs a quieter space to take a break, regulate, and head back to the festivities when they’re ready. 🧡

We talk a lot about supporting neurodivergent and disabled kids, but their siblings deserve something that’s just for them, too. ❤️ We’re so excited to partner with Jackie Glenn to bring Sib Squad to The Third Place for Kids!

Sib Squad was created specifically for siblings ages 7–12 to have something that’s just for them. A chance to play, be creative, connect with other siblings, explore their own feelings and experiences, and have an hour where the focus is on them.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Developmental Pathways , each Sib Squad session is just $10 for families! There are five Wednesday evenings this fall, each with a different theme and activity facilitated by Certified Child Life Specialist Jackie Glenn.

If you have a kiddo who spends a lot of their life being “the sibling,” we’d really like the chance to show them some love too. 💗 Spots are limited, so reserve a spot for our first Sib Squad session here:

School year hours are almost here! 🍎

Starting Monday, August 31st, we’ll be switching back to our school year schedule. We’ll still be here 7 days a week, with Sundays reserved just for our TTP members. 🧡

One important heads up: TTP will be CLOSED September 4th–7th for Labor Day weekend, a big deep clean, and a VERY exciting new installation in the Sensory Gym that we can’t wait for you to see. 👀

Save our new hours, plan your next play date, and we’ll see you soon!

The start of a new school year can bring excitement, nerves, new routines, and lots of big feelings, not just for kids, but for parents too. 💛

That’s why we’re teaming up with our friends at STAR Institute for Sensory Processing for another Back to School event!

Stop by to pick up therapy informed resources and practical take-home strategies designed to support neurodivergent kids through school transitions and everyday routines. While you’re here, kids can build their own backpack fidget keychain and create an emotions sensory bottle to take home and use all year long.

Whether this is your child’s very first day of preschool or they’re heading back for another year of grade school, we hope you’ll leave feeling a little more prepared and a little more supported.

Can we ask a tiny favor? 💖

The Third Place for Kids has been nominated for the Colorado Parent Magazine Family Favorites Award in 2 categories:

🧡 Favorite Nonprofit/Outreach (Local)
🧡 Favorite Special Needs Service (Services)

VOTE EVERY DAY through August 15 using the QR code or the link in our bio or grab it here!!! https://coloradoparent.com/family-favorites/

If The Third Place for Kids has ever made your child smile, helped your family feel a little less alone, given you a place to breathe, supported your child’s therapy journey, or simply reminded you that you and your incredible kiddos belong…would you take a minute to vote for us?

We don’t exist without this community. Every family who walks through our doors, comes to therapy, volunteers, donates, shares our posts, tells a friend, or simply shows up has helped build this place.

Whether we win or not, being nominated already feels like such an honor because it came from YOU.

Thank you for believing in our mission. It means more than you’ll ever know. 🫶🏻

Hey member parents,

Last month’s Parent Support Group was something really special.

We laughed, we cried, we got vulnerable, and we celebrated the beautiful, unique journeys of raising our neurospicy and disabled kiddos. For an hour and 15 minutes, we were surrounded by people who just got it.

If you’ve been thinking about coming, we’d love to have you join us this Sunday. Tanya does an incredible job creating a safe, welcoming space where parents can share, listen, connect, or simply be.
