After a bit of a hiatus, we are back with a brand new episode of the Consumer's Guide to Mental Health podcast! In this episode, Dr. Margo Jacquot sits down with Amber Hollingsworth to explore the often-overlooked difference between helping and enabling. While many people associate enabling with providing money or covering for a loved one’s mistakes, it can also take more subtle forms—such as stepping into the role of the fixer, critic, or enforcer. This presentation introduces Fred Hanna's Precursors of Change Model, a practical framework for identifying the client conditions that facilitate meaningful therapeutic change. Participants will learn to assess the seven precursors of change and apply targeted clinical strategies to enhance engagement, increase readiness for change, and improve treatment outcomes. https://ceu.thejunipercenter.com/courses/take/cultivating-change-through-resistance-applying-the-precursors-of-change-model Be sure to register today!
