Repair Cafe Tonight!

Do you have a piece of jewelry that broke, eyeglasses that need tightening, a button sewn on, a chair that the leg is loose, a ceramic keepsake that broke, or a bike with a flat tire? These items and more could get a free repair at our volunteer fixer REPAIR CAFE.

How does it work you ask?

-One item per person
-First come, first served
-15-minute repair time
-Volunteer fixers
-No guarantees

Have a part that is needed for the repair, bring it along.

Repair Cafe-this Thursday evening!

One of the items on the list: Guitar restringing! Any musicians in the area?

Turn it up, loud—learn to re-string your guitar and do some basic setup technics with The Rock Shop! The Rock Shop’s Craig Frank, builder of Paradise Customs, will show you tips and tricks to get you rockin’ again. Craig will cover string changes, minor intonation adjustments, and general maintenance and upkeep of your guitar. Craig will have acoustic and electric strings available for purchase. If you’re bringing a classical guitar, please pick up a set at your favorite local music shop. Also, no Floyd Rose trems (they’re a little too time consuming for this forum). Rock on!

Are you ready for RECYCLEFEST? It is this Saturday, July 25th from 8am -12pm in the parking lot at the corner of Forest Blvd. and Lakewood Blvd. in Park Forest.

Helping Hands will be onsite to collect clothing for men, women, and children, all types of shoes, bedding, and accessories.

Please note, they only accept CASH for fee items.

Drive through experience, sort per category, and place in the trunk or back seat of your vehicle.
