🚨 MISSING PERSON – JEAN MCGRATH 🚨
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jean McGrath, an approximately 80-year-old female who was last seen Wednesday at approximately 12:15 a.m.

Description: • Approximately 5’2” • Approximately 160 lbs. • Gray hair, shoulder length • Green eyes • Last seen wearing a light colored nightgown, blue bathrobe, and gold-colored watch.

Jean was last seen in the area of Stimson Ave and Chestnut Street in Reed City.

If you have seen Jean McGrath or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please call 911.

Our office has received several complaints over the last couple of days from citizens receiving a call from a person claiming to be Undersheriff Casey Nemeth calling and telling people that they have missed jury duty and attempting to get personal information from them.

This is a SCAM! Please hang up on this person. We will never call you about jury duty, nor request any personal information from you.

As temperatures rise, remember that extreme heat can become dangerous—especially for older adults, young children, pets, and those with medical conditions.
Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
❄️ Spend time in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
🌳 Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
🚿 Cool off with a cool shower or damp washcloth.
🏛️ If your home gets too warm, visit an air-conditioned public place like a library, community center, or shopping center.
❤️ Check on elderly family members, friends, and neighbors to make sure they’re doing okay.
🚨 Know the signs of heat stroke. Call 911 immediately if someone has:
• Confusion or difficulty waking up
• Faints or loses consciousness
• Hot, dry skin or suddenly stops sweating
• A body temperature above 103°F
🚗 Never leave children, older adults, or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a minute. Temperatures inside a vehicle can become deadly in just a few minutes.
