UPDATE2: Mr Hensley has been captured and is back in custody. He has been charged with escape and will be held without bond. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for your help in his capture.

UPDATE: Mr. Hensley was last seen this morning in the area of Alman Cemetery Rd. and Wimberly Rd. at about 6:20 am. We are asking that anyone in that area please check any cameras you may have and if Mr. Hensley is seen please call.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Kodie Hensley. He walked off this morning at approximately 7am from his work detail in the area of County Home Road and Highway 218 bypass. He was wearing a long sleeve blue t-shirt and jeans at the time he walked off. Mr. Hensley is currently serving time for violation of probation on drug charges. If anyone see Mr. Hensley please call 731-642-1672.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene of an incident in the area Guthrie Rd and Chapel Hill Rd. There is a heavy police presence and we ask that you avoid the area at this time.

🚨 PUBLIC SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE 🚨

⚠️ Residents of Henry County: Please be aware of an increase in phone scams targeting our community.
Scammers are calling, texting, or messaging people while pretending to be:
• Law enforcement officers
• Government agencies
• Utility companies
• Banks or credit card companies
• Family members in an emergency

🚫 A common tactic is telling victims to immediately purchase gift cards (Apple, Google Play, Steam, Visa, Mastercard, Amazon, etc.) and provide the numbers on the back of the cards as payment.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Remember:
❌ No legitimate government agency, law enforcement office, bank, or utility company will demand payment with gift cards.
❌ Do not give gift card numbers or PINs to anyone over the phone or through text messages.
❌ Do not feel pressured to act immediately because someone is threatening arrest, account closure, or other consequences.

If you receive a suspicious call:
✔️ Hang up.
✔️ Contact the organization directly using a trusted phone number.
✔️ Talk with a family member or friend if you're unsure.
✔️ Report the scam to your local law enforcement agency and the appropriate fraud reporting agencies.

Please help protect our community by sharing this post—especially with older adults, friends, family members, and neighbors who may be targeted by these scams.

🛑PUBLIC NOTICE 🛑

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is aware of the situation concerning a registered s*x offender Bryan Jackson. It was reported that he was posting threatening messages to children within our county while using his Facebook account.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has followed up with the information provided and has turned this case over to the Tennessee State Probation Office where Bryan Jackson reports for the s*x offender registry.

There are concerns from the public about Registered S*x Offenders having social media accounts, S*x Offenders are allowed to have social media accounts as long as they are making the accounts using their real identity to the public. These accounts are documented when they are registered and are checked every time they report.

Violent S*x Offenders report every March, June, September and December. Non-Violent Offenders report once a year 10 days before or 10 days after their birthday. Their accounts are checked during those times and during random s*x offender checks throughout the year.

Not all s*x offenders report to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Within this County, we have 3 reporting agencies. Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Paris Police Department and the Tennessee State Probation Office.

TN ICAC Task Force Arrests Individual Following Online Exploitation Investigation

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office (ICAC) investigators, in coordination with FBI Child Exploitation Task Force and Puryear PD, announces the arrest of Joseph Lee Parsons, 9540 Hwy 641 N. Puryear TN. following an investigation into online offenses involving the s*xual exploitation of minors.

The investigation began in April 2026 after ICAC investigators were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through a Cyber Tip, that a suspect was using a Google account and was downloading images of child s*x abuse material. Investigators conducted a comprehensive digital investigation which resulted in the ex*****on of Judicial Subpoenas and search warrants that linked Parsons to the account.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office (ICAC) investigators with FBI Child Exploitation Task Force agents, Henry County Sheriff’s Office Patrol officers and Puryear PD executed an arrest warrant and search warrant at 9540 Hwy 641 N. Puryear TN on 07/27/2026 and arrested Parsons without incident. Parson’s phone was seized and will be sent for a forensic examination.

The suspect was booked into Henry County Corrections and charged with S*xual Exploitation of Minor with a bond set by Judge Bruce Griffey at $50,000. Court proceedings are pending. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

No further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of victims.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is part of the TN ICAC Task Force and is dedicated to identifying, arresting, and prosecuting individuals who exploit children through the internet and other digital technologies. The task force also works to identify and rescue victims and provide resources for prevention and education.
