CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas

CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas Our Vision:
We envision a safe and positive future for all Texas children. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate®, or CASA.

When a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. CASA volunteers are screened and highly trained and then appointed by judges to represent and advocate for a child’s best interests in the child protection system. CASA volunteers are each assigned to help one child or set of siblings at a time, so they can

focus on giving that child or sibling group the individualized advocacy and attention they need. CASA volunteers save taxpayers money and children’s futures by helping children find safe, permanent homes as soon as possible.

The 9th Annual Walk of Hope was a huge success! Thank you to our sponsors Credit Union of Texas , HteaO, The Lamar County Child Welfare Board, and Diane Stegall/Modern Woodmen!! Special thanks to Jane Adams from the Lamar County District Attorneys Office for organizing the event, Judge Bell for reading our proclamation, Trinity Christian Academy for providing the music, all the local agencies that showed up to represent the services they provide, and Jessica Holtman for stepping in at the last minute to provide our key note address. We marched in support of local crime victims for National Crime Victims Rights Week. We want to give hope to everyone in our community that has been the victim of a crime. We see you, we support you, and if you need help, reach out. If you see someone being victimized, report it! If you don't know how to, contact us at CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas we can point you in the right direction!!
