As the year comes to a close we want to say THANK YOU to the many - the 5% - who have shown up for jury duty this year. Think of it this way ..... Lamar County has an approximate population of 50,0000. The 6th District Court tried approximately 25 major jury trials in 2023. We had over 100 show up each time when summoned. That's 2500 strong and committed citizens or ....... 5% of this entire County. We say it over and over but Lamar County shows out. Thank you.
