The Monroe County Health Department offers immunizations, lead screenings, pregnancy testing, STD/HIV testing, newborn home visits, school health nursing and flu vaccinations. Other public services offered include blood pressure screening, glucose screening and tuberculosis testing. WIC (Women, Infant, and Children Nutrition Education and Food Supplement Program) clinics are held in Paris and Monr

oe City. The department offers environmental services including communicable disease control and reporting, investigation of sanitation problems, sewage system evaluations/inspections and routine inspections of restaurants, grocery stores and lodging establishments. Vital records can be printed at the Health Department for a fee. Birth and death certificates are available to those who were born or deceased in Missouri. Child Passenger Safety Technicians are on staff to educate parents and caregivers on how to safely restrain children of all ages riding in motor vehicles. New car seats are available at a reduced rate by appointment.
