Whether planning a bridal shower, small intimate wedding, anniversary celebration or a family gathering, Duncan Tavern provides an unparalleled combination of elegance, grace and hospitality. Your event will be impressive, with beautiful antique furnishings tastefully

Today was the Jane McAfee Chapter’s time to shine as they visited Duncan Tavern Historic Center. This enthusiastic and engaged group of ladies is Kentucky’s Harrodsburg-based chapter, led by Chapter Regent Susan McGinnis. This was Susan’s first visit to the tavern! Welcome, Jane McAfee, to beautiful Paris Bourbon County! Come back soon!

Thank you to Doris Dearen Settles of the Transylvania Chapter, who donated a printer/scanner to Duncan Tavern Historic Center. I accepted this valued donation in front of the Cartmell House, which has been an ongoing project for the Transylvania Chapter, along with Chapter Regent Sandy Marting. Very much appreciated and already in use at the Duncan Tavern Historic Center

KSDAR is proud to announce that Duncan Tavern has been selected by Kentucky Humanities as a site for Our American Story: Kentucky's Voices. Our focus topic will be Harmonizing Together and will emphasize the music of Bourbon and the surrounding counties, as well as the two beautiful antique pianos recently restored. More details to come as they evolve, but our committee just approved our participation in this important project!

This morning, the St. Asaph Chapter from Danville, Ky. created this stunning arrangement in the planters at the front of the Tavern. Located in Danville, Ky., St. Asaph was one of the first chapters to respond to the call by President of KSDAR Chapter Regents Club, Karen Hamm Adams, to help Duncan Tavern Historic Center as its focus for historic preservation leading up to the 2027 State Conference. Great job, ladies!

A very special THANK YOU to the St. Asaph Chapter in Danville. Regent Diana Gilley, along with long-time DTHC supporter Stephanie Lowe Griffin, has volunteered to tend to the flower pots around Duncan Tavern Historic Center. It's such an honor that Duncan Tavern receives support from all across the state! This kindness is in response to the appeal by Chapter Regents Club President Karen Hamm Adams, who chose Duncan Tavern Historic Center as the Chapter Regent's focus for historic preservation.

I'm proud to announce that the Lexington Chapter has stepped up to the KSDAR Chapter Regent's Challenge and will take care of the corner of the Duncan Tavern fenced area where the water feature is located. In addition to weeding and planting, our chapter member Jane Gard Hellmann has offered to provide rhizomes from her prize irises. Jane has held leadership positions in the Bluegrass Iris Society. Blooms cultivated by the Iris Society have been planted in The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky.
