United Way of Lamar County The United Way brings together people and resources to build a safety net to help meet the needs of our friends, neighbors, co-workers and families.

A constant reminder that when we as individuals think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives as linked to our own, our compassion grows. This year during the Campaign the Partner Agencies decided that Wednesdays would be United Way t-shirt days! Join us every Wednesday this fall and wear your United Way shirts! And send in photos so we can post them!

What a great idea! We will be there!

We are inviting the entire community to come and take part in our 9/11 Day of Service. We will have pre-printed cards where you can write a note or message to veterans, first responders and active military. These notes will then be sent to Operation Gratitude who will send them globally to these men and women who have served or are currently serving. It is a come and go event, refreshments will be served. And, everyone who comes will get a special patriotic lapel pin. We even have coloring pages for any kiddos who can come. We hope to see you there!
