This……..!

Today, Tennessee legislators passed the voucher bill that I have been outspoken about since day one. This legislation is NOT conservative, fiscally responsible, or in the best interest of Tennessee families. It’s a blatant abuse of taxpayer funds, a betrayal of our principles, and a handout to special interests at the expense of our communities.

Despite my repeated requests to speak on the floor and voice the concerns of constituents, Speaker Cameron Sexton, Majority Leader William Lamberth, and Caucus Chairman Jeremy Faison silenced dissenting voices, refusing to allow open debate. They treated legislators like children, forcing us to put our names on a list just for the chance to speak—like students begging their teachers for permission to go to the bathroom. Even then, there was no guarantee we’d be called on. If leadership didn’t like what we had to say, they simply ignored and threatened us. This isn’t leadership. It’s fear and control, plain and simple.

But the most egregious part? Leadership tied this controversial voucher scheme to critical funding for East Tennessee flood damage relief. Just like Joe Biden used these very same folks as political pawns, our leadership in Tennessee did the same by delaying much-needed aid for East Tennessee for the sole purpose of tying it to this voucher bill to buy votes. Holding disaster relief hostage to force through an unpopular, lobbyist-driven agenda is not just shameful. It’s a betrayal of the very people we were elected to serve. This is not conservatism—it’s corruption.

Conservatism is supposed to be about limited government, fiscal responsibility, and local control. This bill is the opposite of all three. It creates a massive new government program with no guardrails, no accountability, and no limits on costs, bloating the state budget and burdening taxpayers for generations. It expands government overreach, creating a new bureaucracy to oversee voucher distribution and compliance, while doing nothing to empower parents or improve outcomes for students. This isn’t school choice. It’s a scam masquerading as reform.

Let me be clear: I am a huge supporter of parental choice in education. Parents should have the right to choose the best educational path for their children. But this bill is not about parental choice. It’s about political power and special interests. Those who were most vocal in favor of this bill are the very same who have taken the biggest paychecks from lobbyists. This isn’t about helping families. It’s about helping themselves.

In 2019, the outcry surrounding this very same topic was heard on every news network across the state for months straight. But in 2025, when exponentially worse is happening behind closed doors, there is a deafening silence. The same leaders who once decried backroom deals are now orchestrating them on a larger scale, and the same voices that once demanded accountability are now complicit in the cover-up.

This is how far we’ve fallen as a state—truly, the swamp is alive and well in Tennessee with current leadership. What was once called a scandal is now standard operating procedure, and those who should be standing up to corruption are either too afraid or too compromised to speak out. The backroom deals are bigger, the arm-twisting is more aggressive, and the silence is more deafening than ever.

I will not stand by while backroom deals and political gamesmanship dictate the future of our state. No matter the threats or pressure from leadership, I will continue to fight for real solutions that put our families first—not the special interests who control Nashville. What happened today is NOT the Tennessee way. Together, we can and we must demand better. The time for silence is over. The time for accountability is now.

Remember history and let’s not make the same mistakes we’ve made in the past. We do not need corrupt politicians in office. The swamp is bad enough already. VOICE your NO for Wirgau!

So sad shady things being said 5-10 min in. Question, how do they think they are going to turn someone’s (David Hayes) vote? And why are they conspiring about it?

We need representatives like this in our county! This is a good read and a wake up call!

We need representatives like this in our county! This is a good read and a wake up call!

While my attention has been focused on fighting as hard as I can for the people of our district by standing up for our teachers and AGAINST the voucher scam that will create bigger government and bankrupt our public schools, leadership of my own party has once again called in their big money lobbyists to spew lies on their behalf in our community.

After standing up a week ago in the Education Subcommittee to expose the truth about what is really going on with this legislation, negative and dishonest mailers, text messages, phone calls, and threats immediately began to drop against me and my family. While I’ve spoken to the media about some of these issues, I know it is most important that I come directly to you, the people of Marshall and Williamson Counties, to tell you that I hear you, I stand with you, and I will ALWAYS fight for you.

In politics these days, when true conservatives stand up for what their constituents want, the career politicians begin their assault against our voices and our beliefs. To paraphrase my good friend Congressman Matt Gaetz: while I’d prefer to just fight the Democrats, if the Republicans are going to dress up like Democrats in drag, then I will lead the fight against them too!

This whole situation is a perfect example of what happens when an unapologetic conservative goes against the establishment and speaks up for their constituents. Despite doing the right thing and standing up for the people of our district, leaders of our own party - like Speaker Cameron Sexton, Majority Leader William Lamberth, and Cacus Chair Jeremy Faison - will use every underhanded trick at their disposal to pass bad legislation and silence our voices.

If this bill truly was so great for Tennesseans, why are they having to use such dirty and despicable tactics to ram it down our throats? The truth is, this legislation is the FURTHEST thing from a conservative proposal and I will NEVER bow down to the pressure and threats from leadership or dark money lobbyists to get it passed.

Today, I am asking YOU to stand strong with me - when these attacks and lies come to your phones and your mailboxes, let your voice be heard. Tell them that the people of the 92nd District say HELL NO to vouchers and the weak excuse of leadership we have in Tennessee today!!!

God bless each and every one of you, and God bless the great state of Tennessee! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

From the Mouth of a County Commissioner, fighting for us & against corruption! Must Read:

“Y’all sit back and watch the show…. You’re about to see HCMC be used as a political vessel across the state as well as news agencies pushing a political agenda. I’ll explain and show you what to look for …
There will be articles coming out soon most likely on a regular basis by folks that don’t even live in this community. They’re “supposedly” fighting for our hospital OBGYN department. The articles will be written and submitted by mostly democrats throwing shade at elected Republican officials and using our failing community hospital as their soap box for a smear campaign. It’s rather clever actually. This tactic works time and time again from both sides of the aisle. Most Americans become emotionally compromised on a topic and cannot see through these clever veils of deception and motives. HCMC case in point… There was a large portion of Henry Countians that I refer to as the silent majority. You supported and quietly stood behind me when this hospital debacle started a few years back. On the other hand, we have a very small portion of citizens and board members that were vocal and were in fact against me exposing the corruption and the potential demise of HCMC.
These people are the furthest from leaders that our community ever needs to hear from. We all believe in Freedom of speech and never want our freedom stifled. You need to hear the other sides views and opinions but arm yourself with the ability of discernment. Typically those speeches are cleverly disguised to talk over the common folks head.. I see these articles and speeches as nothing more than word salads with a motive.
I’m seeing there are folks orchestrating a movement to campaign for a property tax or wheel tax increase to bail out the hospital indefinitely.
If something like this were to come up in regards to property, my position is nay, but as an elected official Ill do what the majority of my constituents in my district want regardless of my thoughts. I personally would rather only want to hear from the property owners in my district that would be impacted.
Now on the flip side of this coin in regards to a wheel tax, I would want to hear from those impacted that operates a motor vehicle which is the majority of us. I should remind you that we have a few buildings that are structurally in dire straights that desperately need the mayor and county commissions focus.
Let us all take a breath and look at this from a business standpoint. You go to the bank and tell a loan officer you need a loan for a million dollars to save your struggling business that has been losing money for years and close to a decade. Now ask yourself, do you think you’ll get this money? It would be foolish and extremely high risk for any financial institution to loan this money.
Now let’s say the bank will only loan 25% but at a higher interest rate, but you’ll need to find four other financial institutions to loan the rest of the money you’ll need because you’re high risk. These banks are not in the business of handouts and do want collateral. Apply this scenario to HCMC just know that you are the collateral and are on the hook for paying it back if this business fails. I believe that’s exactly where we’re at…..
We are all called upon to be good stewards of our money. It’s throughout the Bible (Hebrews, Corinthians etc) and it’s something my family and I try to live by. We believe in helping others and obviously standing up for those that cannot.
I personally feel an obligation to the employees of HCMC. They called upon me and others during their time of need and I’ll continue do whatever I can to help them. Ill remind you all, this horrific financial situation with HCMC is nothing new.. it’s just recently gained attention with the OB closure.
Now that HCMC knows where some of the major problems are, I have faith that our hospital board and the new chairman will do everything possible to help correct these issues and not hear or deflect any and all of the allegations that needed to be investigated just like years past.

It’s not just TNCare reimbursement folks. It’s p**s poor management at the highest level thst has crippled this facility over the years. Coding and billing are major problems. If you don’t code and/or bill correctly you don’t get paid for services rendered…. Plain and simple!
I’ve been very vocal and blunt to healthcare leaders in this regard… I’m all for a line of credit for HCMC in their desperate time of need, but that decision comes with reluctancy and reservation due to my views of being good stewards of our money. The only reason I feel that it’s warranted is simply nothing more than faith. I still have faith that it can be turned around. Though the window is closing and soon will be closed. It’s up to those in charge to make the necessary decisions and implement those necessary changes immediately.

One last point… TNCare.
This was an exceptional program when it was adopted. Now, not so much… reason being…. P**s poor management and lack of necessary policy changes along the way as time changed.
For decades physicians and other providers throughout this country have instructed indigent patients to come to Tennessee and get on TNcare, they’ll take care of you free of charge. I know this because I’ve heard it time and time again straight from the horses mouth. So what’s happened you ask!? A massive influx of people into our state to leach off the programs we offer. Very similar to the open borders immigration crisis but on a smaller scale. It’s not policed and not sustainable without policing.
TNCare reimbursements are low because of the large percentage utilising this service. It was never meant to sustain 70 plus percent of the population. Just like the HCMC OB unit.. what was the amount of TNCare patients again …. 70 percent correct me if I’m wrong? It’s not sustainable without commercial insurance and proper billing.
Research for yourselves what healthcare facilities take TNCare and you’ll likely find that number to be quite low. Don’t forget to factor in the rural hospitals that are now closed.

Just my opinion..”

SAY NO TO MATT STOWE!

"There were loud voices representing some turmoil," Parish said. "General Stowe then advised the court he had just terminated Rebecca Griffey, and that he was leaving in order to secure his office."

Parish called the episode an "unprecedented occurrence" in his time in the legal profession.

Many conservatives used to assume that if we could get more Republicans elected, then the God-honoring, pro-constitution, pro-family, pro-life, fiscally-responsible, conservative, pro-America values for which the Republican Party stands would then become the guidelines under which those Republican elected officials would govern. Initially, we were so happy to get a Republican elected, we did not pay close attention to their actions once in office; but it matters what they do, not what label they use when running for office.

Republicans have held super-majorities in both houses of the Tennessee General Assembly since 2012, so why is it still "legal" to murder babies in our state? Why do we not protect the God-given right to life for the most innocent and vulnerable?

Why does Tennessee have a state constitutional amendment protecting the God-ordained sanctity of marriage yet officially violates same as a matter of policy? Why are our public schools and other institutions using taxpayer dollars to promote the destructive perversity agenda?

Why does Tennessee continue to officially infringe on the right to keep and bear arm? And that is even after the passing of the recent "permitless carry" (it is not constitutional carry) which literally imposed additional restrictions.

Why are taxpayer dollars being used to fund and promote discrimination, racism, bigotry and perversity under the guise of "equity" and "diversity"?

The above are just several of the many issues upon which the current members of the General Assembly should be held to account. Obviously, the Democrats are enthusiastically and officially on the wrong side of these issues, but shouldn't Republicans be different? Being a Republican should mean something.

The answer to these and many other related questions hinges upon the documented fact that the majority of the Republicans in the Tennessee General Assembly are really RINOs.

RINOs (Republicans-in-Name-Only) - or Establishment Republican - is a term often used in politics, but what does it really mean? More importantly, how do RINOs affect us all?

Political party platforms (see GOP.com and democrats.org) are supposed to represent the values of those who run under the banner of that party. In the case of the Democrats, that seems to be largely true as their platform is all-in for socialism, abortion, sexual perversity, racism, bigotry, discrimination, illegal immigration, big government, election fraud and other anti-God, anti-life, anti-family, anti-freedom, anti-constitution and anti-America initiatives and their officials either toe the party line or are cast out (e.g., pro-life former Tennessee State Senator John DeBerry).

Unfortunately, far too many Republican elected officials fail to support the defining Republican Party principles upon which they campaigned. In fact, President Donald Trump is one of the few politicians who by and large did what he promised. In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis is doing much the same. Closer to home, State Representative Bruce Griffey has done likewise and has suffered the attacks of both Democrats and RINOs as a result.

Of course the attacks against officials like President Trump and Representative Griffey are not really about them. They are just in the way. The Democrats and RINOs are really after us. They are all-in on protecting their legislative committee machinations, backroom deals, delegation of power to unelected bureaucrats, and other government-in-the-shadows practices obfuscating their deeds and undermining our nation. Long before President Trump declared war on the RINOs, they declared war on him and us.

While some of the so-called Republican names provoked no shock - including Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney (who has perpetually been at war with the President Trump and his administration ever since he first betrayed Trump) - there are many less well-known RINOs that back-stabbed Trump and betrayed the Republican platform.

For their betrayal, many RINOs are promised well-paying appointments, positions as lobbyists or other deals. They violate their oatsh of office and sell their souls to do the will of the top 1% of the world’s population and not the will of the American people. As an example, some believe the reason one state senator is so arrogant in ignoring the will of the constituents in his district is he is more concerned with receiving an appointed judicial position.

The RINOs often manipulate and betray good conservative Republicans. RINOs often vote either in line with Democrats and against the principles of the Republican platform or they just don’t vote either way.

True Republicans have a true commitment to the principles set forth in Declaration of Independence: that all are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certaininalienable rights among which are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Republicans uphold the Constitution as our founding document; written not as a flexible or out-dated text, but as our enduring covenant.

As for the Republican platform, it is many things: a handbook for returning decision-making to the people; a guide to the God-given rights of every American; and a manual for the kind of liberty and sustained growth that will bring opportunity (not guarantees) to all those within our society.

It is clear that president Biden, the Democratic Party and RINOs have abandoned their promise of being accountable to the American people. We should not accept their betrayal.

My advice to Republicans, watch what the person does, not what they say. We are over the hump when it comes to electing Republicans. Now need to get over the hump to where we ensure the Republicans we elect support Republican values. Our families, our community, our state, our nation and our world will be the better for it.

Just as President Trump continues to fight shamelessly for America, so, too, should those who love America come alongside in the fight.

Resolution of Censure
Of
Speaker Cameron Sexton
For Willful and Dishonest Obstruction of the Democratic Process
in Blocking Rule 53 Vote of HB 0801
on 22 March 2021

Henry County Republican Party

Whereas, on the twelfth of January 2021, Speaker of the House of the 112th General Assembly did state in his oath of office "I, Cameron Sexton, do solemnly swear that, as a member of this, the One Hundred Twelfth General Assembly of the State of Tennessee,
I will faithfully support the Constitution of this State and of the United States, and I do solemnly affirm that as a member of this General Assembly, I will, in all appointments, vote without favor, affection, partiality, or prejudice; and that I will not propose or assent to any bill, vote or resolution, which hall appear to me injurious to the people, or consent to any act or thing, whatever, that shall have a tendency to lessen or abridge their rights and privileges, as declared by the Constitution of this state.
So help me God." and,

Whereas, Speaker Sexton did willfully and dishonestly obstruct the democratic process with his blatantly corrupt action on 22 March 2021 in blocking the will of the people with respect to the Rule 53 motion upholding a full floor vote for HB 0801, which was a clear violation of the Rules governing the One Hundred Twelfth General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and,

Whereas, said action was not in support of the Constitution of this State, and

Whereas, said action is a clear indication of favor, affection, partiality, or prejudice against not only Representative Bruce Griffey, but against the constituents of the 75th District by effectively denying them effective representation, and

Whereas, said action was an assent to the prohibition of a measure addressing the unlawful employment of illegal aliens, which has definitively been found injurious to the citizens of this State and these United States of America, and

Whereas, said action consented to a process which clearly lessens and abridges the rights and privileges of the citizens of this state, most especially the citizens of the 75th District, as declared by the Constitution of this State, and

Whereas, Speaker Cameron Sexton, made his oath to support the Constitution of this State and the United States as a required condition of taking his office, and,

Whereas, Speaker Cameron Sexton, knowing his duty, refused to perform it by fraudulently blocking the consideration of Rule 53 with respect to HB 0801,

Therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that we, the undersigned members of the Republican Party of Henry County, Tennessee, in fulfilling our duty as citizens, hereby censure Speaker Cameron Sexton for his failure to fulfill his oath of office with his 22 March 2021 action blocking a representative vote with respect to HB 0801 in violation of the process required by Rules governing the One Hundred Twelfth General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and, be it further

RESOLVED, that we, the undersigned members of the Republican Party of Henry County, Tennessee, consider the above noted action as a denial of our representation as constituents, and, be it further

RESOLVED, that we, moreover, consider the above noted action as infidelity to our Constitution and to his oath, and, be it further

RESOLVED, we announce our deeply regretful consensus that Speaker Cameron Sexton can no longer in good faith serve as Speaker of the One Hundred Twelfth General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and should resign said position in accordance with his oath of office and in the best interest of the citizens of the State of Tennessee.
