After months of hard work, dedication, and determination, these four officers have successfully completed the Kellogg Community College Regional Police Academy.

The academy demands countless hours of classroom instruction, physical training, practical exercises, and unwavering commitment. Their perseverance and professionalism throughout this challenging journey have prepared them well for the responsibilities of serving our community.

Today the FBI released a warning the public about Kali365—an emerging Phishing-as-a-Service (PhaaS) platform. Kali365, first seen in April 2026, enables cyber threat actors to obtain Microsoft 365 access tokens and bypass multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocols without intercepting the user’s credentials. The platform allows less-skilled attackers access to AI-generated phishing lures, automated campaign templates, real-time targeted individual/entity tracking dashboards, and OAuth token capture capabilities.

Bulk Trash Pick Up starts tomorrow May 19 for City of Parchment residents. All items must be placed on the curb by 7am. Crews will not pick up all areas on the first day, and they will not go through the city more than once.

Also please be aware that anything placed in a black trash bag will NOT be collected. Loose items can be placed in a clear trash bag or a box for collection, but all items must be visible.

Stay safe during this time of severe cold. Warming shelters are available.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting dangerously cold temperatures beginning Monday and Tuesday, with overnight lows near 0° and a 25% to 30% chance that wind chills could reach -25°.

Residents are strongly encouraged to limit time outdoors and seek warm, indoor spaces whenever possible. Exposure to extreme cold can quickly lead to frostbite and hypothermia, both of which can become life-threatening.

To help prevent cold-related injuries or death, multiple warming shelters and warming centers are available throughout the Kalamazoo area. Warming shelters provide overnight accommodations, while warming centers offer daytime indoor refuge.
